Listen Scott, his tactics were fine up until that Santos mistake. He has every right to be mad about it. As I was, too.
Brighton's first attempt on goal was after the 60th minute mark and if you looked closely (live on TV, not from the stands), there were several instances in which the camera was zooming on Brighton's manager up until the red card and he looked incredibly worried talking to his staff and was shaking his head all the time.
Minteh was the only one trying something on the right wing with no success as Cucurella had him in his pocket for the entire first half, other than that Chelsea was in complete control.
I know people hate Maresca, but you all be fair in analyzing everything. His gameplan in the last two rounds was totally ruined by two stupid red cards.

I'm not as Maresca out as much as others are, but the pressure does start mounting on him if results don't improve. But as above, I'm not sure who you go after. Does the new coach get that much more out of this group of players? The recruitment has been a big issue too. Not good enough CB reinforcements, no GK, and two inexperienced strikers/forwards, along with Garnacho and Gittens who are yet to prove their worth. If the new coach gets the same players given to him, are we expecting that much different to what we get now? A bit more positive football is great and all, but results matter. I would want a manager who has won significant trophies and has experience, but those aren't so easy to come by.

In fact, Tuchel has to take some blame too. Really don’t get why he’s mixed it up and put Azpi at RWB. If you want James at RCB play CHO RWB so he can actually offer something going forward.

Fecking sh*te. Enough with the 343. At this point play 4 strikers for all I care.

Feeling pretty calm heading into this game. Sure, we should not have been in this situation even if were just a little better in the last 37 games, or the last 5 games for that matter. However, it's all in our hands, and if we are serious about our ambition, just go out there and win this game, do not leave in the hands of the other teams or VAR. Villa has nothing to play for point wise, of course they will put up a good performance in front of their home crowd, but don't think we will see the back to the wall defence for 90 minutes, which is we been failing to negotiate all season. Just play the best 11 and get it done with, next week is next week's problem.

Pulisic has been good, just injury prone. Plus we were comparing him to Hazard straight away , which was unfair. For his age, I think he's shown a lot of promise and has put in some quality performances.
Chilwell I don't think deserves to be in this list either. He's not Ashley Cole and there's definite room for improvement, but he's shown plenty.
Havertz I think will eventually come good, though for the money, he's defintiely not lived up tpo expectations recently.

All the rest are pretty bad though.

I'm so confident I will just say: Chelsea players.

I'll be honest. This whole discussion about Liverpool possibly dropping points and whether their opponents can be bothered to turn up irritates me. We shouldn't rely on the likes of Burnley or Palace to do our job for us. If we fail to win tomorrow I fully expect scousers to take advantage of our failure and beat us to the place in the top four.
And if we can' t take care of business and beat Leicester and Villa, then we don't deserve to play in the CL next season, anyway.

The last two games has felt like TT is gambling big time, he's putting all his chips onto the number 29, all in, win or bust.

yes great time to be chelsea fan but sorry i dont agree to disagree.. he took us to a top 4 finish when no manager will touch us.. how does make him one of the worst in history?  He also helped us unearth Mason you think a foreign coach would have done.. its not about being bigger than a club.. its just giving someone respect..

The PSG players look like they have more issues to cope with the pressure of winning it I think so I would prefer to face PSG despite the fact that we are more familiar with Man City. Poch is more likely to bottle the final even if he arguably has a few better attacking players on paper but even that can be discussed.
To face this Man City team and Pep in the final would be more scary, I mean yes we only lost on penalties in the Carabao Cup final in the most recent years but this Man City generation has been aiming to win the CL for years now, they would be really fighting for Pep, for Aguero that said that he won't be leaving them until they win the CL and he's leaving this summer and Pep would know how to motivate those players and prepare them to have the majority of possession against us, after all after losing to Monaco some years back he just bought Mendy and Bernardo Silva in that sense of if I can't win against them I'll buy them...
Tuchel would be more than happy to prepare our team against his former team and Poch might just be powerless like he was when he faced Liverpool in the final, while we wouldn't really have any big surprises for Man City as we know each other well so it would be a harder game I think.

But on the flip side they will be feeling the same anxiety/pressure to get that elusive first one that we felt for the best part of a decade.
You could tell it got to PSG in the final last year so hopefully if we get there similar will happen to City (or even PSG again).
