They are just not suited to the premier league.It is the best league in the world.Teams in the epl need to have  high intensity...speed and ball control are essential,Havertz and Ziyech lack speed of thought and physicality.With Lulu the jury is still out - I really didn't want him here but it is early days so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.In fairness to Lulu he is not getting the service either from wingers or from accurate through balls - he is at best a finisher when he gets chances - at worst he is just a big awkward lump - 97mil?.. not for me.
We have players on our books that should be cleared out - Ziyech and Havertz we should just cut our losses- RLC has shown glimpses  but fades like a winter sun.Jorginho is a very poor mans Fabregas and should be a squad player just like Alonso and unfortunately Azpi.
We need the likes of pulisic back and on form and CHO also.We have been very unlucky with injuries of late so maybe I am over reacting but it's only because I care.

This.The problem we have is quality creative players in midfield.People who think this a blip should worry.Thomas should be burning the midnight oil before the game at the weekend,to find a solution to our dreadful slow attacking play.Let's face it we are easy to defend against without Mount,Kante and even Reece.
If TT keeps playing Havertz,Ziyech,Alonso and Jorginho in the same system,be prepared for turgid football and more defeats until we have a fully fit team.We have shown we don't have the strength in depth  we thought we had.
Lulu is feeding on scraps - we know he is not the most gifted of players,but give him enough chances and you will get a good return imo.Thomas needs a bit of lateral thinking,and I would start with benching Havertz,Alonso and Ziyech - start with CHO, Chilly and RLC - it's easy they can do no worse.
 

I think you may be letting Kai's goal in the Champions League final gloss things a bit last season. Yes he did have a few decent games and showed some signs that he might go on to great things this season. But I'm not sure I would go as far to say he was fantastic as a false 9 in all those games. If Werner could actually finish then maybe we would have invested in a different position than CF this summer. But the fact that Kai was playing false 9 illustrated the issues we had in that position overall. 
I feel that the key to those games in the run to the Champions League win, was that we most considered underdogs. That worked massively in our favour with Tuchels' tactical approach. Now we are no longer underdogs in a lot of these games we need a different strategy, and so far he is still trying to figure that out it seems.

I'm losing patience with Havertz - what exactly does he do? surely Timo has to be a better option.

Sorry folks but Ziyech is not a player for chelsea.I have watched enough if him now to make a judgement.Put Werner on to try and stretch things, at least he has pace.

Agreed,didn't know much about him before the tournament but he must be in the billion pound transfer bracket, compared to the 'superstar' players of today...oh and now he's off...massive for England.

We have been sublime in this tournament,where in gods name did this form come from?.
We have looked average in the epl, but a completely different team in the champions league.The one thing I do know is,this is a young team that is playing for the manager and can only get better.
Another mention to the referee, he was superb    ...balanced, unbiased and emotional about the occasion.Contrast that to bunch of half wits we have in the EPL.

Rudiger mount and Reece would walk into any team in the world the way they are playing.
DeBrunye is a bit of a big girls blouse - I said before keep him quiet and he fades(now watch him excel in the second half).😁

There will be much discussion,rumination,analysis and statistics and other waffle by the great and the good commentators on this match.
The FACT of the matter is I have watched my team of 50 years outclass both Madrid teams and make Man City look ordinary.
For me this is massive.There was no luck needed in this campaign,we were simply the best team in it.
Now whether we can consistently produce this form in the epl is the next hurdle,but I am hugely optimistic.
