We've got a new Kepa
Kepa has never been worth 20m at any point in his career. Any kind of loan fee is a stretch.

Random Rumours
Interesting stats. If Bats went 38 games (a full season) without scoring for us would he go from deadwood to being a top talent being let down by the coach and the system? Neither Batshuyai or Barkley are good enough to start for us but I think they're both handy squad players. As we are right now I'd rather have Bats in a squad spot than at least one of our wingers (no prize for guessing who) despite his obvious limitations he fills a role in our squad no one else can and he's a handy finisher to bring on late.

Crazy what happens when we actually play 3 talent attackers for once. Lots of chances and 3 goals. The only possible front line for Everton next week

Christian Pulisic - Official
I love Americans, Y'all are awesome. I've spent a lot of time in America and I like both the people and 15 out of the 16 cities I've visited. If the Internet was full of Vocal Italians crying everytime Emerson didn't get a game, saying he needs to leave or pretending Emerson was a superstar they'd get the same thing. I'm just saying if Pulisic left Chelsea today and it wasn't announced it would be at least October by the time the average supporter at the Bridge realised he'd gone. He's been such a none entity for almost his entire time here the only mark he's made at either of his 2 clubs is the strange cult like level of patriotic hype he has off the field.

I don't rate Mendy. Buy we don't have a decent number 2 so he has to play unless we sign someone.

Chelsea reserves vs Udinese reserves. B team match. No crowd or cameras.- Udinese vs Chelsea 29/7/22 8PM GMT
Take Kovacic out of that team and it would be in a relegation battle. As clear a B team as we'll see all season.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read and I've read people say Pulisic is a top talent. Hopefully no one at the club has this mindset. We all want to see good football and our football has been turgid as of late but it's a results business. We don't want to be Arsenal and play some fantastic stuff but get whipped every other week. Our pragmatic approach is the reason we've done so well in cup competitions and established ourselves as the closest team in England to City/Liverpool. It's hard for Tuchel to play free flowing football with such an untalented wet of attackers. If we want better football and better results we need new attacking players not a new tactical set up.- Udinese vs Chelsea 29/7/22 8PM GMT
Need this game to be about seeing the team at full strength. No deadwood like Pulisic, Barkley, Batshuyai or Sarr, No Kepa. No players that want to leave like Ziyech or Azpi. Just a full strength team for as long as possible, Sterling for the 90. Koulibaly for the 90 if possible. Alongside Thiago Silva.- Cristiano Ronaldo SIUUUUUUUUUUU
He already did that 4 years ago. And the goal shy version of Torres we got was still better than most our current forward options.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
I'd swap him for Ake.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
Prioritising Ake over Kounde is one of the worst mistakes a club has ever made. Imagine being a top centre back and signing for a club that wanted Ake before you.- Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
Now we just need to find a Vidic or a JT to carry him. I never rated Rio. A tier below the top centre backs of his generation imo. Obviously would still be a massive improvement for us but 90m for a new Rio? No thanks.- Max Kilman
The idea that Kilman is better than De Ligt or Kounde is absolutely absurd. There's a reason he's playing for such a medicore Wolves side at 25, has 0 caps and has played more none league games than Premier league games in his career. while De Ligt and Kounde are younger and have performed to an excellent standard at CL clubs and earned moves to the biggest clubs in the world.- Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
Unlike us Leicester have seen Kepa play. He helped win them their FA cup. There's next to chance we even scouted him prior to signing him as we weren't interested in him 6 months prior when he had a £18m release clause. We almost certainly went on a database and sorted keeper release clauses from high to low once we lost Tibo and got rejected by Allison and took the gamble the keeper with the highest release clause would at least be a talented prospect. He wasn't.- Keep calm and ....
I trust in Christian Pulisic. .............. To find a club and league more suited to his abilities this summer. Would suit him perfectly I think- Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
Kilman is 25. He's never getting to world class level. He's never even getting to good enough go play for a team challenging for 4th level.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
It isn't. We spent big money on Pulisic but there's very little talent there. Suggesting he's £58m worth of talent on the pitch when he was signed solely for off the field reasons doesn't make sense. Then we have Havertz who is talented but was signed based on future potential he isn't currently pooking close to fulfilling. Sterling is by far our best attacking player and City let him go. Expecting us to outscore City with our current options is absolutely crazy but more concerningly we're almost certainly not going to outscore Spurs with our current group. Kane, Son, Richarlison and Kuleveski would all be guaranteed starters in our team.- Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
But he's a million miles better than Pulisc, Ziyech and Werner. A lot of dross to clean out and Jesus would have been a good solid piece of our attack for years to come. And Havertz has "been himself" for about 20 games since he signed for us so it's not like we don't need Jesus because of Kai.- Frenkie De Jong, not a rumour but apparently for sale
We need to offer De Jong 400K a week. On the condition that we're only willing to pay 10m at most for him And rely on him only wanting us and our lucrative offer and Barca's desperation to sell to get him off the wage bill to register new signings.- Joško Gvardiol
Perhaps it's wishful thinking. We'd be lucky to get rid of all of them.- César 'Dave' Azpilicueta
No he isn't. People think Lukaku is strong because of his build and what he looks like. But given I've regularly seen him absolutely bodied by almost every physical centre back he's faced for a decade now I'm calling bullsh*t. He's a big fat snowflake.- Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
🤣 I love the optimism people have thinking other teams would want Kepa, first it was Newcastle now it's Leicester. Kepa isn't good enough to play in the Premier league. Why would they actually want him? No club would consider him as a makeweight. He's here till his contract expires then he'll sign on a free for relegation battling La Liga side on 30K ish a week or retire. Given they need money to balance the books if we go for Fofana it's going to be pure cash. No makeweights. He wouldn't go there but Timo would be a phenomenal fit for them replacing Vardy.- Timo Werner
Where's the driver? I didn't even write a word. Axeman said Werner should be the 1st attacker out because all our other attackers have redeemable features as opposed to Werner who has clear strengths even if we don't play in a way that uses them. Pulisic has no redeemable features, he's literally not good at anything as the statistics and data shows. Selling Werner before Pulisic is a big mistake and the only argument for doing so is that teams may actually want Werner while we won't be able to find any takers for Pulisic. If we sign another attacker then selling Werner makes perfect sense but with the current squad losing Werner will just cause deadwood like Christian to play more minutes which makes us weaker. - Udinese vs Chelsea 29/7/22 8PM GMT
