JT gloss slightly tinted - this time by his on pitch stuff
I dont think he should retire, football careers are short enough why let some pig ignorant boo boys, gutter press or cowardly team mates ruin any dreams you had as a boy of playing for your country? The biggest problem as far as Lampard is concerned is he has never been given the full credit he desreves as a player outside the Bridge, god knows why....probably all those thick pikeys who still think he was only in the team 'cos of his dad when the rest of Europe think Franks a great player(2nd to Ronaldhino in world player of the year ffs). Wanted by some of the top clubs on the continent etc. The Lampard /Gerrard debate will role on but name 2 decent English centre midfielders who are banging down Capello's door for a game. Name 2 who play regularly in the prem for that matter? Dont retire boys, fcuk 'em.

London
Do you have a ticket?? If not you may be best booking some kind of package via the club staying in our hotel. At leats you can score at the bridge then ;)

JT gloss slightly tinted - this time by his on pitch stuff
As somebody else already said i dont think this world cup is the ideal platform on which to judge players, how much would you pay for Rooney or Torres based on thier WC performances?? Both Terry and Lampard are different in Chelsea blue, perhaps all those tossers who boo them at Wembley then wonder why they struggle to reproduce their club form in an England shirt might have a rethink........then again.

Yossi
I'm not sure about this one, i can understand the club not wanting to be held to ransom by JC who has'nt showered himself in glory over the last few seasons but then we also sell stoch and buy a 30yr old squad player for the same money??? Yossi had to get out of Liverfool anyway, his little sister is almost 16 and stevie G has been sniffing around. CFC, making history not living off it!

Ashley Cole
The mans on his holidays for fu*k sake. As far as questioning his professionalism goes i think he has been incredible. Slaughtered by the press and divorced by the wife but put him on a football pitch and you would'nt know....thats proffesional if you ask me. A great season for us in our best ever and 1 of the few players at the WC with England who did'nt let themselves down IMO. Young, free, wealthy and on his holidays.....those 3 things probably annoy many people if the truth be known but what should he be doing?????? I'm not a big fan of him has a person and i think he's mad for cheating on his old woman who's well fit, plus he should probably throw his bloody mobile phone into the sea for all the trouble it seems to cause him but as long as he keeps playing well thats all that matters to me.

My Dream Chelsea line up for next season ...
I'd keep riccy, he has bags of experience and is still a top defender. Ivan is a centre half really so we do have options at the back, i'd leave the squad alone defensively with the exception of some cover for cech.

My Dream Chelsea line up for next season ...
I'd love us to sign Shwienstiger and its no wonder CA wanted him before the WC. He wanted Pirlo who is older and slower and less suited to the premier league than SS is. CA likes to have a creative player in that position because they see more of the ball and have more time on it especiall in the home games but in the Prem you need to be able to handle the defensive duties too which he could so i'd love us to get him. The problem now is his fee has probably doubled with others surely interested. Hopefully our earlier interest, recent success and a good word from Ballack might sway it for us? He could play that position in any formation and also free's up Essien to drive us on in games which the holding role restricts him from doing at the moment so its another plus. Its the talk of formation which makes me think twice as to who i'd like up front, if CA wants to stick with the 4-3-3 id go: ------------------------------------------------------------------Cech--------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------Bosingwa-----------------Terry------------------------------Alex-------------------------Cole--------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------Shwienstiger--------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------Essien-------------------------------------------------Lampard--------------------------------- -----------------------------------------Pato-------------------------------------Malouda-------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------Drogba---------------------------------------------------------- I think Pato is young, hungry after missing the WC. Quick and skillfull and well suited to a wider role in the prem. I to like Muller for the right hand side but Malouda is quite workman like on the left so i thought some Brazillian flair might be in order. But if CA wants to give the diamond another go he could try: --------------------------------------------------------------Cech------------------------------------------------------ -------------------Bosingwa------------Terry----------------------------Alex-------------------------Cole--------------- ---------------------------------------------------------Shwienstiger----------------------------------------------- -----------------------------Essien-------------------------------------------------------Lampard------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------Aguero--------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------Drogba---------------------Anelka-------------------------------------- I think Aguero is young and skillfull and could also do a job in the Prem but is better suited to a role as second striker or at the tip of a diamond as above. Both look good teams to me and its up to CA how he wants us to play, i think after the double he has earned the right to call the shots but as i'm still not convinced about the diamond id go for the first formation. But Shwienstiger either or please.

John Terry news conference
The England players should be ashamed of themselves, they have hung JT out to dry. I totally agree with what you are saying about Gerrard and saint Rooney the scouse tossers. Any cfc player saying that to the camara's would probably be on the plane home by now. Rooney should have been subbed he was that bad the other night. Rooney cant be subbed though can he? You cant bring off your third choice skipper(Gerrard) now he's got the armband can you. Is'nt it time for some Lampard bashing seeing as he has'nt scored for a couple of games...oh thats right he played our 30 goal a season midfielder in the holding role in the first game, good idea. Did Joe Cole make the squad? its hardly supprising some of the players are scratching their heads is it? Terry has'nt said anything other than what everybody in pubs and clubs up and down the country is saying. Terry is the only leader in that dressing room and is know being slaughtered for what....honesty?. I know he is no longer the captain and you can argue whether it was his place to say anything but JT wants to win the world cup its as simple as that, there is no point coming home and giving a press conference in september saying we should have done this or tried that. Say it now when you still have the chance to do something about it. Cappello having a pop back at him via a prerecorded one on one interview is pathetic. He probably had the opportunity to edit some of that interview as apposed to JT's grilling from a pack of 50 angry reporters in the aftermath of the worst England game i too have ever seen. It would have been easier for JT to say to cappello 'fcuk you i'm not the captain, send Gerrard to the wolves' but thats not Terry, he does'nt want easy he wants to win and anybody who blames him for that is an idiot.

Never thought I'd say this !
i'm not a big Neil Barnnett fan myself but if he wants to give the scousers some well deserved stick thats fine by me.

An ode to Didier Drogba by a Wolves fan
I think your old man coined the thrase most used by some of his fans on this site...on his day he's unplayerble.

Never thought I'd say this !
I liked the quote on here the other day, 'chelsea fc,making history not living off it' quality.

Essien's out of the World Cup
Dont like to see any player miss a WC. Gutted really for him but for us its the best news. A fit and football hungry Essiene added to the double winners is our first marquee signing for next season.

karim benzema
Who say's Torres would go for £50m they may want £60/£70m it was just an example. I think Benzema would be better Value for money at those or similar prices.
-
karim benzema
I'd rather benzema at £15m than Torres at £50m. He's younger, cheaper, injured less and has a bit to prove. Lets not forget not every top player hits it off at Madrid. The place can be a bit of a grave yard for players careers who then leave and show what good players they are. Let him come and make his name here. At that price you'd still have £35m to spend elsewhere.

Some cool Chelsea pictures
'Creating history not living off it' great headling for a banner if ever i saw one.

Doing the double
make that 4 different types of doubles, we also did the league cup/european cup winners cup double in 98.

John Terry injury
call me old fashioned but since when do you have to wait 24hrs for the results of an Xray???? More concerned about saturday, it would be wrong if we were to win the cup and JT not get to lift it or even a medal. I just heard a massive Homer Simpson like DOH!.................can only be Wayne Bridge.

The season just ended
32) Wayne rooney is not a nasty scowling tosser running around abusing officials and sulking like a bad loser, neither is he a granny prostitue shagging scouse thug but he's the best role model in England and the media's new darling. 33) A paul scholes tackle is and has never been dirty, dangerous or malicious but just said with a little gigle another 'paul scholes tackle'.

Torres Leaving L'Pool
To much money for a player who does'nt play enough, simple as that really. Plus if we are going to spend i'd put the money elsewhere in the squad. We have the last 2 golden boot winners so dont exactly need another centre forward. I'd much rather buy someone who can dribble at pace and open doors for us in those tight games(e.g. inter at home). People will say Drogba and Anelka are the wrong side of 30 but they still have a few good years in them so i'd leave them where they are. If we stick with a 4-3-3 they are competing for 1 place anyway so they could both share playing time to keep them fresh if people are worried about age. I dont want Torres and i dont think we need him.

Bitter bitter Mancs
Well lets hope Fergie feels the same, that they were unlucky and we only won it because off ref's etc. If they want to put their heads in the sand let 'em.
-
Is it Better to Play First?
I would normally rather Man U be playing first because the pressure would be on them to go and win at sunderland after our performance against stoke, but i do agree our result against Liverpool will have a bearing on what happens at Sunderland. If we dont win they WILL win because they will sniff the title. If we win i think there is a chance they could maybe drop 2 points and only draw, in which case we are champions.(Baring a goal difference catastrophy on the last day) At least we know exactly what we have to do, that Scholes goal must have affected the players at Spurs, this time we MUST concentrate on winning our game then we can sit back and watch the mancs squirm.(please god)

The old days
where would we be without sky's money? probably exactly where we are now, the players might not be quite so rich though which would'nt be a bad thing if you asked me.

Seasons end
From one weekend to the next it is as you say a rollercoaster ride. Its fantastic to have so much to play for at this stage of the season and i hope mine and the players nerves hold out. It could be the greatest season in our history but typical Chelsea they wont make it easy for us and yes is will hopefully make the winning all the more sweeter rather than it would if we'd strolled it. But back on that rollercoaster again and it will be all the more painfull to go so close and miss out. AAARRGGHHHHH, Come on Chelsea.

Referees Decisions
Manc fans complaining about ref's ha ha ha. They live in a dream world. Where has that manc fan been who said the ref's have helped us to the top of the league???? we've been top almost all season. Talk about sour grapes, at least 1 of them see's it for what it is. Whats the betting spurs get a penalty the weekend?

Sky Decide Against Having The Last Word On Chelsea
I found the same thing reading some of the papers the next day, i could'nt believe most of it. The media in this country are a complete joke. I thought i'd been watching another game. Fergie is hardly likely to say his team were beaten by the better side but the press should have a bit more about them than just sucking up to him. They must have opinions of their own, is'nt that what their payed for? They COULD have had a penelty, lets not mention the Berbatov tackle because it was'nt even a foul. We SHOULD have had a penalty. Our goal was offside but theirs was handball. Both Neville and Scholes were lucky to stay on the pitch so on balance i think we have more right to be angry about some of the dicisions on the day. Of course having won the game we did'nt feel the need to dwell where as for fergie thats all he had left. Everytime Utd have lost this season Fergie has blamed someone else, its understandable from his point of view but you expect more from a supossed unbiased sports reporter. We played them off the park first half, then hit them on the break in the second and at 2-0 at Old Trafford you'd expect to have to do a little bit of defending which we coped with quite easily. I've long thought that if you take a couple of players from the Utd team they were very ordinary, 2 have since been sold and 1 is currently out injured. I wonder what Andy Greys opinion on that is????? oh looks like we'll never know now does'nt it.
