  1. Apparently Liverpool fans are delighted that Swansea City won, as it was the only chance they had of playing in another country next season
  2. Where is Gary Megson on that list?
  3. I remember the last one when england were playing sweden and being a skint student at the time i decided to put my last £30 on england to win. All looked rosy at half time so i switched it over to the simpsons, low and behold i turn it back on and it was 3-3... Devastated! Going to stay away from betting on it this year but hopefully Josh will be in the squad and will get a run out.
  4. I am hoping that he stays. He deserves to have a proper crack at building his own team and bringing in the personell to play the system he wants to play. Clearly our players are all programmed to play the Mourinho way and they havn't settled at all playing how Carlo would have liked them to. It doesn't help that this season has been one of massive transition (5 experienced first team players left in the summer remember- combined they made over 130 appearances last season) and we didnt really strengthen the side. Injuries to key players didn't help and and we were showed up for the lack of depth we have in the squad. Sure it would have been great to see Josh play alot more games than he has, but he needs to be phased in not just thrown in at the deep end during an injury crisis. Give him a full season, a transfer window with full backing from Roman and a chance to create his own side. Also can we please bring in a decent no.2!?
  5. After all the hope i had in the build up to this game and to have it completely shattered by such an abject performance all round I don't think I've felt this depressed after a Chelsea loss in a long time. I honestly didn't know Essien was playing until he was booked! Where was he?? It baffled me as to how a central midfield of carrick and park/giggs could completely outplay Lampard, Essien and Mikel. Can't be arsed with a rant, just so dissapointed. Oh well, lets finish on a high please!
  6. Alot of my family are Scottish and support Celtic so i would say that they would be my second team if i had one. I do find it strange how alot of our fans always look out for Rangers results but then again a) Im not old enough to understand the affilations between the clubs and B) I couldn't care less (even though some of them frown upon the fact I support Chelsea!)
  7. Even though i do despise those cheating c**ts Messi's second goal was brilliant, almost on par with that Maradona one almost.
  8. I watched a couple of minutes of it and they were bumming his scoring record in british football. He was going on about how it was a gift etc. Did they not realise he scored most of his goals for Oxford United? Cant stand the prick.
  9. Anyone else got Matt Le Tissier co commentating? Sounds a bit like he doesnt like us!
  10. Turned my computer on just in time for that! Perfect start!
  11. Probably should have been Nani despite how much of a prick he is! The only reason Bale has got it is because the media love in with Spurs and 'arry these days. Fact of the matter is Paulo Ferreira had him in his back pocket when we played them earlier this season.
  12. Get in there Frank! (For not hitting the wall that is!)
  13. Looking like we can go on to get 3 or 4 today! Hope Torres can get one in the second half
  14. Yes Hutch I was screaming at the referee to book Nani after the 6 or 7th (lost count) time he was waving an imaginary card around. I thought referee's were meant to be clamping down on that?
  15. He looked high when he came on to be honest. And he played like he'd smoked an ounce of Morocco's finest.
  16. Was no one else baffled by the sheer ineptness from Kalou? He played about 20 mins and was by far the worst player of the night. The paulo substitution was understandable, Alex was all over the place (bear in mind he hasnt played since November) and to be honest he provided the most dangerous pass of the night whilst he was on. For the most part our tactics were fairly spot on, if we had managed to grab a goal in the first half hour when we had all of the play we could have gone on to win the match. But nothing went right for us in the final third as has happened far too much this season.
  17. Why the hell did Drogba not start? And Kalou put in the most useless shift of his Chelsea career thus far. At least Anelka was looking slightly dangerous.
  18. Been thinking of this the whole way home in my car from work and thats the line up i came up with. I do hope we play 4-3-3 we need an extra man in the middle and hopefully Drogba will play with a firework up his arse tonight now that Torres doesn't have to play up there with him. Still got faith, all we need to do is nick a goal and then its back in our hands!
  19. A few signs of the chelsea of old in there though which is good to see. Bagged ourselves 3 goals away from home and didnt really play too spectacularly. Torres was fairly average but i do agree with people here who mention his lack of support. He could have had the ball squared to him on a few occasions but a shot was had instead. It will come mind and at least Josh had a few minutes again. Hung on a bit at the end despite Bosingwas best efforts to throw it away which was good too! We're back!
  20. What a second half! Brilliant performance all round and every one of Carlos subs was quality tonight as well. Zhirkov looked a threat every time he had the ball and was so much more direct than Malouda i think he's earned a little run in the team. The Drog was more like his old self and bullied Uniteds defence when he came on. Massively pleased with that second half and it shows that we can play with tempo and aggression, which had been lacking of late. Looked dangerous down the right as well with Ramires & Torres seeming to alternate who was going to offer themselves on that flank most of the second half. Really hope we can kick on after this performance and who knows make Utd and Arsenal sh*t themselves a bit come the end of the season, and if we can play like that second half in the champions league then i think we can go far. KTBFFH! Edit: How could i forget to even mention Luiz! HERO!!
  21. Cant seem to find edit post anywhere so sorry for the double post but i ended up beaten hull 3-0 away! Notts Forest let in an equaliser in the last 10 minutes away to Barnsley to put me in the automatic promotion places. Here's how the league finished: and this was my run in... thought i was going to mess it all up when i didnt win for three games near the end there incidentally that game against united that went to penalties was ridiculous. It finished 13-12 to them and pretty much went round both teams twice! I think im gonna go straight back down next season though...
  22. Just about to play the last game of the season and look how tight it is! Jutkiewitcz has scored pretty much a goal a game in the last 6 games which got me back in the playoff places. If results go my way and i manage to sneak a win away to Hull (unlikely considering they battered me at home this season already) might even win the league!
