  1. European Champions. Nice ring to that. Sorted out my Sunday'n'all. What a season. Have to admit I thought we'd lost it at least twice but nowt really compares to this after all the sh*t Europe has thrown at us we've finally overcome. So proud.
  2. http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/london-chelsea-fc/2011/09/08/villas-boas-on-modric-speculation-82029-29387596/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Apparantly we offered 30m + Alex. Levy was mad not to take that, would have in all probability ended up with a stronger spurs squad for this season than 'arry has ended up with. f**k 'em I say, would have been a good signing but I think AVB can make this squad work without him. And hell, if he ends up sulking all year we can always send a mocking offer of 18m in Jan.
  3. Good signing in my book especially for the money. Quite like that Liverpool seems to be our feeder club now'n'all :P
  4. Not sure if its been posted but this is all kinds of awesome
  5. I'm looking lower down the table, Hodgeson era Liverpool has nothing on this Arsenal team. I've seen better defending at AFC Dorchester Town.
  6. People not chanting is fine, not everyone feels the need to or even has the confidence to stand up and sing. People booing on the other hand which I even heard loud and clear over ESPN's coverage and was widely reported in the press is disgraceful. There's plenty of fans out there who would kill to be able to go see that team play every week whether they batter a team 6-0 nil or are humiliated by the travelling team, if you're not satisfied with the performance of player or the team keep it till the pub frankly. Its sh*t like this that makes it hard to defend following this club, we're in danger of ending up like sodding Arsenal for gods sake.
  7. I've been working on this conspiracy that whenever there's a transfer like this mooted its drawn out as much as frigging possible to get us mugs to sit down in front of SSN on deadline day. Apparently the whole Torres thing was sorted a full week before he hopped in an MPV down to London.
  8. He'll only be around for two years [/pessimism] However his record at Porto for now makes me silly excited.
  9. We are a joke. Edit: You know what, I could take us sacking Vialli he wasn't up to it, I could take us sacking Ranieri because we had Jose coming, I could take us sacking Jose though it hurt as he seemed to have pissed the wrong people off, I could take us sacking Scolari and Grant as they were sh*t. But Carlo was a class act and did not deserve such sh*t treatment by the absolute muppets who run our club, the man deserves a f**king apology and a huge pay off because the way the club has behaved around this has been nothing short of disgraceful. There you see, mega rant. Its enough to make me give up on football and just watch Motor Racing, at least racing stables understand how to take abit of rough with the smooth.
  10. Rumour has legs, think the quantity of Brazilians that are actually making it at Chelsea (3 regular first team starters) could do us wonders in the future and signing a talent such as Neymar could be just the ticket. Nico can jog on...
  11. You do have to feel somewhat sorry for the lad, he's so good the only way people can handle him is bringing him down. The amount of fouls he drew last night was unbelievable the lad really is something else.
  12. Just seen that in the highlights, what a penis. He must realise it looks the very image of the privileged southerner throwing his toys out of the pram when some cheeky northerners get the better of him. Where's your philosophy now, Arsenal's puritanism is getting beyond a joke. Silverwhere oh silverwhere, you ain't got no silverwhere From emerites to everywhere, you ain't got no silverwhere
  13. Can't see this Arsenal side beating united, looks like the title is pretty much theirs. FFS everton. Those points dropped against birmingham, villa and newcastle through stupid errors are looking more and more glaring.
  14. Thank god for that ::ChElSeaFLag:: ::ChElSeaFLag::
  15. But there isn't is there, its racism of a pretty casual sort but just as jokes about women not being allowed out of the kitchen it expresses a particular ideology. Personally I find the use of the Y word to be abhorrent, always have always will and frankly all the gentile spuds who think they're having a laugh shouting Y*d army are just as bad. Doubt they'll be able to stamp it out with one video.
  16. It would be absolute lunacy to give carlo the sack, I've said it once, I've said it twice. Far too many footballmanger know it alls and captain hindsights mouthing off at a man who last year gave us our best ever season. Frankly it makes me sick. He's not the the rot in the club, would be nice if the board came out and backed the man but of course they can't because of the owner. Madness.
  17. If we sack Carlo you can guarantee every other team in the PL will laugh themselves silly, the man has shown in the past what he is capable of at Chelsea let alone what he has done for AC over the years. Its just as ridiculous as when we sacked Jose, everyone knows the biggest issue with Chelsea is we are results driven. This season has been a shocker but I cannot honestly look at the manager and say he's the man responsible, we've had a combination of terrible luck (injuries, penalty decisions, keepers pulling off jedi saves), a couple of players hitting the worst run of form for years and the corresponding drop in confidence that inevitably happens when you keep losing. The fact that we even managed to muster some degree of title challenge after such a horrendous run of form is something that I am immensely impressed by. Sacking big Phil made sense, he was sh*t. But Carlo has shown categorically that tactically when he knows what he is doing, I think its interesting that while many commentators have been saying he's close to losing his job very few people have produced devestating critiques of his stewardship. I'm behind Carlo (ooooooh errr) and I'd like to think that most people are too.
  18. Arguable that some of the results they have got particularly away from home could have been replicated if they played ugly. Its all very well for the top teams to change how they play each week, they have banks of players that know how to do that. A team like blackpool can ill afford to change every game and I'd bet if they went to some of the bigger clubs just looking for a draw they would have ended up in a far worse situation than they are in now. Then again this is pure counter-factuals, we'll see how they do in the run in, no team this year really deserves to get relegated the Prem has just been quality this year. On Topic, Success comes first. Excitement is subjective, success can be measured in trophies. Moar trophies please ;).
  19. Don't really give a flying f**k when he scores first. If his goals when they come help us win titles he will be worth 50m end of. And the point has been made that none of our strikers are exactly setting the world alight.
  20. Had half a hunch that Yossi's move had something to do with Torres's desicion to head to the mighty blues (along with the prospect of winning something), think their link up play in the future ought to net us some important goals just as Lampsy and Drogs have done for us in the past.
  21. Have to say I was starting to waver in my faith in Carlo, going so long without a result is horrible and you do scrabble around for culprits. Thing is I don't think I've liked a manager this much since Jose, the man is pure class and to top it off brought the double to the Bridge. We may not win anything this year but as long as we make the CL and have a good run in the current competition with the team in the state it is I'd like him to stay for another 5 years. King Carlo! Long may he reign.
  22. No way should we sell Flo, but Yuri deserves a start.
  23. So chuffed, room full of southern United fans. Let them know what we think of them down in SW6, COME ON YOU BLUES! ::ChElSeaFLag::
