Posted August 29, 200915 yr This Monday (August 31st) marks the second anniversary of the sad death of forum funny bugger Boulderbollocks. When I saw Wenger's comical sending off moment today I, for some reason, instantly thought that Boulder would have found it hilarious. If you need any reminding of how much he was thought of (or just want to think nice thoughts about the jolly old punter) then have another read over the tributes paid to him two years ago. http://www.theshedend.com/fansite/nick-ear...erbollocks.html We miss you mate
August 29, 200915 yr I will post what I posted in that earlier thread. "Whenever I think of Boulderbollocks, I think of his crazy avatar on the old CSR forum. It was silly beyond belief, and made you want to laugh! I will miss his posts, and it only makes my weekend more miserable to hear about what happened to him." Loz or Mod: Can you find his crazy avatar with those balls going into and out of the mouth of that "thing"? I would love to see it one more time. Edited August 29, 200915 yr by Phillip
August 29, 200915 yr Sorry I missed him and never had the pleasure of his 'company'. Clearly a well loved and respected man and its good to see you're not forgetting him. Strange to see the phrase 'one of our own'. I went to the funeral of a young paratrooper killed in Afghanistan today, well stood outide the chapel, and the priest said that someone had said that to him, that they had lost one of their own. Didn't know the man but wanted to show my gratitude. We really should make a point of remembering our dead Cracking name too -boulderbollocks - makes you laugh on its own

His passing was the saddest moment on this forum - a real shock - and it's great that Loz has continued to pay tribute to him ever since.
August 29, 200915 yr I first stumbled upon BoulderBollocks years ago when we used to go into the Chelsea Yahoo Chatroom (along with mad_mac, Aussie Dave and many others). A genuinely funny guy, we became good mates (albeit via the web) - you could always rely on Nick to put a smile on your face no matter what the situation. I still miss him a lot, we used to chat regularly on MSN, and were planning to get together with Katznutz later in the year for a Chelsea match when he suddenly left us. I've still got his mobile number on my phone, I know it sounds stupid but I've never been able to bring myself to delete it - and whenever I see his number on there it reminds me of him and what a great guy he was. Funny enough I was only chatting with mad_mac about him in MatchChat recently. Having said all that, I bet he's up in heaven right now having a few pints with Ossie, Hutch & MH, looking down on us and pissing himself laughing, and yelling "cheer up you bunch of arseholes" :D
August 30, 200915 yr Strangely Monday 31st August is also the tenth anniversary of my mother's death. I hope for Boulderbollocks' sake that he is in a different corner of heaven from her. Otherwise she will be trying to teach him weird card games and cheating mercilessly to beat him. She will also be knitting him new wings out of multi-coloured oddments of wool she just must use up in order not to waste them. Let us hope there is a "Footie only" corner of heaven where Chelsea always wins!
August 30, 200915 yr Boulderbollocks was a breath of fresh air. Far too young to leave this earth but as others have said I'm sure he's up there having a laugh at us every day in the company of many a Chelsea great including Mr Zigger Zagger himself.

My condolences to your mother, and to boulderbollocks, even though I never had the privelege of reading his comments.

Hey, don't you be worrying your little head off about that! There's only 365 days in the year. My mother will be having the time of her life (or after-life) bossing everybody about up there. I wish I'd been around the forum at the samne time as Boulderbollocks - he sounds great fun.
August 30, 200915 yr I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to enjoy some of Boulderbollocks' company on the forums, but even from his name alone I can tell he was an absolute riot, and I'm sure I would have loved him. RIP to a no doubt great man.

Honestly, he'd tell you all about it in the middle of the game.
August 30, 200915 yr Thanks for keeping the memory alive Loz. It's incredible to think that it's been 2 years since Nick passed.
August 30, 200915 yr I didn't really know the bloke that well, but I do remember that he was very well liked. Oh and surely it's not a complete coincidence that I've recently taken to calling my cat Squeak Bollocks (among other things).

First you have him castrated, then you start calling him Squeaky Bollocks. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound! :D
August 30, 200915 yr As it 'appens, there are no wounds to rub salt into. I was thinking about having him done (up like a kipper) but decided against it.

I spent some time wondering whether he was talking about coke, heroin or ? ..... before it dawned on me that he was in fact giving you intimate details of his last bowel movement!
August 31, 200915 yr I spent some time wondering whether he was talking about coke, heroin or ? ..... before it dawned on me that he was in fact giving you intimate details of his last bowel movement! Oh yes, boulderbollocks was always generous when it came to giving details of the last turd he'd released into the wild. This normally happened mid-match, and became a bit of a debating point amongst us more sophisticated fans, trying to ascertain who'd had the best crap that day. :) Coincidentally, many years earlier I used to use a similar ploy as a chat up line..."hello darlin', had a good sh*t lately?" It wasn't always successful, but nearly always made 'em laugh - and I once ended up going out with a beautiful girl for quite a few months after breaking the ice with that line. Try it fellas, I can recommend results - and I'm sure boulderbollocks would approve! ;)

Seriously fellas, I have my doubts about this as a chat-up line!
August 31, 200915 yr Seriously fellas, I have my doubts about this as a chat-up line! Ah, you're only saying that because you're constipated! Take no notice lads, the women love it  :D

"Can I get you an expensive drink and take care of your mortgage?" still works best for me.
