December 25, 200916 yr jennifers body...........watched it because of megan fox. worst movie of 2009 imo !
January 3, 201016 yr I watched Surrogates..Bruce Willis in a Sci-Fi sort of Westworld type of thing, People sitting indoors and sending out Robots to do their daily and nightly routines. quite enjoyed it.
January 3, 201016 yr Jaws 2 last night. When I was 9/10 I was scared sh*tless of the Jaws films, now they're just bloody hilarious.
January 3, 201016 yr Paranormal Activity, though it was the American version with a different ending to the UK one. The American one is good, but I've heard the British one is just amazingly scary. I did enjoy it though, it was incredibly tense and, well, creepy more than anything.
January 3, 201016 yr Watched the Terminal last night as it was on the telly and it's the worst movie I've see in years. It was supposed to be a heart warming movie, but I thought it was just over sentimental nonsense with Tom Hanks at his most annoying...that fake accent had "look at me, give me an Oscar" written all over it. Ugh...
January 3, 201016 yr Last movie I saw was Moon starring the super talented Sam Rockwell and I thoroughly enjoyed it, a thoughtful Sci-Fi film with plenty of nods to the classics of the genre and considering it's mere $5million budget it looked brilliant. I'm going to experience the other end of the budget scale on Tuesday as I'm going to see Avatar.
January 3, 201016 yr saw the new Sherlock Holmes last week. NOt bad not great, a bit dark, odd plot, lots of geography wrong (Pentonville is not near Tower Bridge).
January 4, 201016 yr Watched the Terminal last night as it was on the telly and it's the worst movie I've see in years. It was supposed to be a heart warming movie, but I thought it was just over sentimental nonsense with Tom Hanks at his most annoying...that fake accent had "look at me, give me an Oscar" written all over it. Ugh... I actually quite liked The Terminal and wasn't at all annoyed with Hanks accent. It was a made up one so it didn't bother me. Not the best movie I've seen perhaps, but there are far worse ones out there.

Yeah, there are far worse ones out there, but the problem for me is that it was so forgettable in almost every way. Technically it was a well made movie, but maybe it was just a little too polished. I had read reviews that praised how effortless the comedy is and how real and likable the characters are, but I just didn't find any of that in Terminal.
January 4, 201016 yr Pineapple Express.... have to admit it, although Seth Rogan movies don't normally pull up any trees...it made made me laugh :)
January 4, 201016 yr Pineapple Express....have to admit it, although Seth Rogan movies don't normally pull up any trees...it made made me laugh :) I love that film, more for Saul though, he's hilarious in it!
January 4, 201016 yr The Spirit - it's essentially Sin City again but with Samuel L Jackson as the lunatic villain.
January 4, 201016 yr Watched avatar 3D, the future in cinema experience at one point the arrows were coming out the screen at me :) :) 10/10
January 4, 201016 yr I haven't seen this yet, obviously as it's not out for a few days, but has anyone even heard of this film called Exam? It's genuinely not showing in any cinema near me, I'm gutted, it has a very, very interesting premise.
January 4, 201016 yr i got a couple of alfred hitchcock box sets for christmas. so the last film i saw was the lodger from 1926, which was hitchcock's first thriller. it's a good film but obviously dated with a couple of twists that i reckon most people would have seen coming. still, for the time it was excellent. i've also watched rope which is from the other box set. that's not bad either but i didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the better known classics, you know, all the obvious ones like psycho, vertigo, the birds and so on.
January 5, 201016 yr just to bring the conversation back down to my level, i watched Family guys 2nd star wards movie over xmas and loved every minute of it. now you can go back to your highbrow movie reviewing....

January 5, 201016 yr Tombstone. Excellent film. Saw it on tv just before Xmas when the snow came. Got stuck on my way home and had to spend the night in a little railway hotel with an old fashioned tv and no sky! There's nothing like a good old western.
January 6, 201016 yr Watched 5 movies during the flights to and from Scotland. Inglorious basterds. Typical Tarantino, lots of unnecessary dialogue, but a good movie nonetheless. The Hangover. Some hilarious moments, nothing to really think about, but fun. Transformers 2. terrible 500 days of Summer. sh*te. Take every stereotype of an "indie" movie. Kids in clothing that could be their parent's, belle and sebastian and the smiths in the soundtrack, artsy moments during cuts scenes. The Informant. I was half asleep by this point, but a good film
January 6, 201016 yr The Hangover. Some hilarious moments, nothing to really think about, but fun. You know...there were some hilarious moments in that flick, but honestly it wasn't what everyone made it out to be. For me at least. I think sometimes it's just "cool" to see a certain movie and be able to recite lines at the water cooler for two weeks in a row. I got that feeling with this one.
January 6, 201016 yr I saw Sherlock Holmes at the cinema. It was a pleasant enough romp with a compelling storyline. It's just a shame they got an actor so ill-fitting to play Watson. I really don't much care for Jude Law and was extremely disappointed when I found out he was in it.
January 6, 201016 yr I watched the invention of Lying last night, typical Gervaise and funny in parts but pretty predictable, couldn't sleep though so better than counting sheep.
