Posted January 10, 201114 yr Just noticed we'd been linked with him again, sorry if this has been posted elsewhere I never seen it! Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be keen on being reunited with AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato. Ancelotti coached the 21-year-old Brazilian when he was in charge at the San Siro LINK Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be keen on being reunited with the Brazilian striker he coached during his days in Milan. And according to sources cited by the German 4-4-2 Web site, Blues chiefs are planning to make an approach to Milan managing director Adriano Galliani about the player when the former returns from Brazil, where he has been negotiating the sale of Ronaldinho. The 21-year-old, who has scored eight times in 13 games for the Rossoneri this season, is contracted to AC Milan until 2014, and Chelsea would have to part with at least €30 million for his services. Not sure if there's any truth but I think this would be a great signing
January 10, 201114 yr He's exactly what we need to replace Anelka but i think he's too injury prone at the moment, he always seems to disappear with an injury every month or so.
January 10, 201114 yr impossible AC Milan buy him in this period because impossible Manchester City will keep balotilli at least till the summer , and in that while Chelsea has great chance to propose for Aguirro than Pato .
January 10, 201114 yr impossible AC Milan buy him in this period because impossible Manchester City will keep balotilli at least till the summer , and in that while Chelsea has great chance to propose for Aguirro than Pato . ???????? so what you saying cause f**ked if i know lol???????????
January 11, 201114 yr This would be a dream. Would love to have Pato. Great on either wing and can also play in the middle. I feel Josh and Kakuta will be our playmakers of the future and Pato is the guy we need so we have a guy that can flat out score. No problems at all when of comes to finishing.
January 11, 201114 yr Certainly an exciting prospect, but a couple of things: We have also been linked with Kaka, because he's Brazilian and wants to play under Carlo again. He does appear to be pretty lightweight and Injury prone. however, he is an exciting prospect, and I'm not sure how much Milan would want for him
January 11, 201114 yr Not my number 1 choice, but would give some balance to our front 3, thats if the rumours are not true that Malouda & Drogba have fallen out with everyone.
January 11, 201114 yr Anyone who has been watching Serie A would know that he may be a world class player but far too fragile to make the transition to the the premier league. Pato is very similar to Robben in sense that he miss far too many games in a season to have a substantial impact.
January 11, 201114 yr Its hard to believe (but I would agree) the injuries have hurt his value so much at such a young age. Just one or two years ago, people were talking about this kid being sold for 50 or 60 million euros by Milan. I dont blame them for not selling him considering how brilliant he has been since he got there, but like with Kaka you have to wonder if he will ultimately leave for a fraction of that price. I hope he can get it together and stay healthy. Phenomenal player at the top of his game
January 11, 201114 yr If his value has dropped it may be a good time to go after him. long term perhaps. but we need someone to fit in straight away

I dont blame them for not selling him considering how brilliant he has been since he got there, but like with Kaka you have to wonder if he will ultimately leave for a fraction of that price. Its evident that Milan dont wish to gamble on his fitness and its visible in their signings this season (Zlatan, Robinho and Cassano). Also dint he say explicitly that the only club he would leave for is Barcelona. So I dont see him moving to England in any scenario.
March 10, 201114 yr Might as well bump this with a report from this morning in a few places. Taken from Talksport this one so probably utter bollocks. Chelsea are being strongly linked with a move for AC Milan forward Pato.Reports in Italy claim the clubs are in advanced talks with Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti prepared to sanction a deal worth £18m plus Didier Drogba in part-exchange. Neither club has commented about the transfer talk but Ancelotti is a known admirer of the Brazilian player from his time in charge at the San Siro and he is looking to freshen up his Chelsea squad. £18m plus Didier doesnt sound too bad to me if Pato is over his injury problems, and he looked decent at times last night against the spuds.
March 10, 201114 yr Pato and Torres could be something, feel for Sturridge though if he doesnt get a chance.
March 10, 201114 yr I think if we were to sell drogba, using him in part exchange would bring the best price. That deal would see us get around 15m for him. Pato has done well this year, but before Xmas he was out injured quite a lot. would an exciting signing though no doubt.
March 10, 201114 yr ...he looked decent at times last night against the spuds. He was about it for them wasn't he. I reckon he'll be playing in England in about 12 months. Don't know if it'll be for us or not.
March 10, 201114 yr I thought he was only so-so...not worth the fees that have been talked about Edited March 10, 201114 yr by The Brit
March 10, 201114 yr How much money do we thinly we are really going to get for Drogba? I would bet we don't get as much as you all think. He is 33 years old and his form is dropping big time. I don't see us getting more than 15 and that might be too much. So that would put the offer close to 30 mil, the same it would take to get Neymar. Who would you rather have? Pato or Neymar.
