He's actually a good defender. The problem for me with the transfer, is that he is 28. The second rate league stuff is nonsense when referring to a central defender. Adjusting to a different league, that is a better way to put it.

True but the point is he fitted their system despite spending most of his career in Ligue 2 prior to joining them. If our scouts fell the same way about this guy then I don't really care what league he plays in.
