I find that pretty worrying tbh. When you look at the wages United were reportedly offering players it's a major concern. City changed alot of thier earners onto heavy bonus incentive wages, which actually skews the figures a bit, but looks good on thier ffp.

If we really have become a club that has to sell in order to buy, I can't see us competing at the top for the next few years until the stadium is finished.

I guess we will find out our spending power over the next 2 windows.

You're right. I think the club might be inclined to follow City's model. I think maybe that's why the club is recruiting/ pushing for youth to be integrated into the first team to reduce spending

Well according to the 2014/2015 financial statement they have a reason to have curbed on the massive spending. We've actually over-taken both manchester as highest wage payers and made a loss of 23.1m.

Might be, might not. Either we reduce the wage budget by letting some heavy earners go or letting go of many fringe players.

Still think the Madrid link for a LB might just be rumor initiated by selling clubs to increase values (Baba was also linked to Madrid, lol). Madrid are forever linked to a LB yet they never sign one.

I still personally think we should have given Bertrand a real shot at nailing down the LB position.

The problem is the way Ake has played this season don't think he will be happy just sitting on our bench he would probably want go out on loan again if he can't get in our team.

luis and azpi would have been a good partnership on the flanks. ridiculousness to get rid of luis with no decent back up. azpi isn't a lb and he is limited going forward.

I don't think we need a back up for Dave. Imo azpiliucueta should be at right back, and we should sign a to quality left back.

Ake or baba could make that spot there own, but with Zouma at centre back, I think we would be better opting for a more experienced player, especially if we end up with christiensen, stones, or marquinhos.

Granted rodriguez is only 24, but he has quite a few years experience in him now, and Tbf, he is top drawer.

Baba is only 21 to dismiss him is a bit presumptuous. Has looked pretty decent from what I have seen of him and he looks like he could definitely do a job in the premier league. I would not get rid of him just yet.

He rejected us prior to his move to Bayern when we had Jose and CL football. If he wasn't going to join then, we have absolutely no chance now with no manager confirmed and no CL football. 

 

Whether he's worth £70m or not is another question, history suggests though that when we spend that much on a striker they generally flop for whatever reason. Not going through that again.
