Perhaps, but surely not before we have found replacement. No matter how disappointing Malouda & Kalou have been this yr we don't have that much in reserve. Lalkovic perhaps, but not sure ready to be thrown in at the deep end.

from Roma to add a bit more to the midfield? Says his contract runs out in the summer, and he could add a bit more Ballack-like presence to our midfield. Plus he has a pretty decent shot on him as well. Would certainly be a step up from merieles.

I also think we should be going for Hoilett from Blackburn as his contract is up soon as well.

They are just players I think we should have a look at. I doubt we will though.

Higuain is very overrated. He had a good year a couple years ago but that was because he played along ronaldo and others. Hasty done much of anything lately. I wouldn't want him.

Higuain has 12 goals in 7 starts in the league (8 sub appearances) and is their second top scorer behind Cronaldo; I can't see them selling him.

I wouldn't want Sneijder though, and I will probably be the only person saying that, but I still don't think he'd be a good move.

As big am admirer of Sneijder as I am, we are too late to the game for him. It would bemire of the same. Signing a big name, aging player and paying silly ages. I would rather we start building for the future again

Courtois has apparently been kicking ass in Spain. Extremely highly rated over there with Atletico fans saying he's better than De Gea already. I can't remember where but some Real Madrid fans were saying he has the reflexes of Casillas and is better than he was at the same age. It can't all be hype so it looks like Cech will have some serious competition for the first time in a long time. AVB's buying policy has really impressed me so far.

Said it before start of season , if you recall Courtois he WILL play Cech out of the team.He has it all !

Just wanted to share this , most of these players have been named on this forum , some of them play at The Bridge , others maybe unknown.

Higuain at Chelsea would be a dream. But I dont think Real are EVER going to let that guy go. His goals/game ratio is excellent (91 in 190 total, but 81 in 142 for league games ) and its only this season that Benzema has given him real competition for being Real's best pure striker.

Plus that core of Higuain, Benz, Ozil, Di Maria, Sahin, Calejon, Granero, and Marcelo are all about 23/24 years old. I think Jose and the Madrid brass recognize that, to stand a chance at beating Barca long term, they are going to need to build a team that can gel together and create the same understanding seen between Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Fabregas. At least I hope they realize it.

For some reason the press in Madrid like to make up stories about him falling out with Ronaldo, wanting to leave, etc etc, but the braintrust of that club have learned from their past mistakes. I dont think a 23 year old, who has nearly 100 goals for the club, and cost 13m Euros, is going anywhere unless its for a Tevez/Torres type fee.

Sorry BC, dont agree. Two years ago, he did have nearly 30 goals for them, but last year injuries cut him down. But he still managed 13 in 25, and this year has a very similar rate already. He may end up with about 30 again this year.

More importantly, he has looked good every time I have seen him play for them. THat includes both starts, and subbing in for Benzema. He has a tremendous knack for finding the pace of a game quickly, and managing to score with 10-15 minutes at the end of a game.
