June 5, 20233 yr If we get rid of players like Pulisic and Ziyech could/should we go for Dybala...he is argentinian as is Pochettino...
June 5, 20233 yr Leandro Paredes? . . . well y’know PSG do not need him or want him. He would be available on a FREE. He will be 29 at the end of this month. Which seems Ancient compared to our current transfer targets, but, hey, some grown-ups is not a bad thing either. He has played with Enzo before. For Argentina. Leandro was the man who started the brawl at the World cup with the Netherlands. Paredes fouled Nathan Ake and deliberately smashed the ball into the Dutch bench, prompting a brawl. So he is a bit of a “C U Next Tuesday” but we might actually need some of that.

Think it would actually be a good signing if we could make it happen, we're in desperate need for some experience in our team next season.
June 6, 20233 yr Liverpool have bagged MacAllister and now talking to the agents of both Thuram and Kone. They aren't f**king around this summer.

I get that we are signing a lot of young players on long term contracts and that is not a bad idea at all. But as it looks like we are losing our more experienced squad players like Kante and Kovacic and we have already lost the experience of Jorghino, it wouldn't be the worst idea to sign a player like Leandro. FREE transfer. World Cup winner. Plays alongside Enzo. He is ticking some boxes.
June 6, 20233 yr So, the club were in Milan discussing some players. RLC to AC Milan and the such. AND. . .Our new goalkeeper? Chelsea are discussing Mike Maignan from AC Milan as a potential future keeper.

Signed a load of young talent then scattered in experienced signings to compliment them. Then its just a process from there on out, the youth become the experienced after a few years and you replace the 'old' players with more youth. Rinse and repeat, City have done it almost perfectly over the last 7 years.

June 6, 20233 yr Maignan as well, which i really like both Onana and him would be great additions Maignan doesn't have the footballing qualities that Onana has but is superior overall as a goalkeeper i think

Sanchez lost his place at Brighton and Costa is in my opinion inferior to both Onana and Maignan (although stats suggest otherwise, & i haven't watched Porto but watched AC Milan a lot) I also feel that both Onana and Maignan have more of a dominating presence, i find Sanchez and Costa a bit bland Onana is the best goalkeeper with the ball on his feet of all of these options. I would even say that after Ederson he's probably one of the best the stats say that Onana has a higher safe percentage than Maignan (76.5% vs 71.9), Sanchez has only 66.2% and Costa has the highest with 77.2% i think Onana would be the best and relatively cheapest option Edited June 7, 20233 yr by azpi28

Icardi is a bit of a nob but knows how to score and Peredes good experience for the middle of the park and can help Enzo/Pochettino.
June 7, 20233 yr Sky reporting we are leading the race to sign Neymar ...Holy Sh*t we will truly be the laughing stock. Welcome to the circus

But we could spend 100 million quid on a player and end up with a nob as well. Yes, I am looking at you, Lukaku. Icardi just bought the World’s most expensive car. lol I imagine he is a lot of fun in the dressing room. Peredes seems like a very sensible/logical option. Free transfer. Enzo compatibility. He'd be a good squad player.

We balked at Ugarte’s wages. We’re in a stalemate over Mount’s contract. And we’re suddenly now going to throw money at Neymar?

IF true. I just cannot see Maddison as a Chelsea player. Better than Drinkwater maybe. . . but that is about it.
June 7, 20233 yr Diego Moreira - 18 year old (LW)/RW/AM) Benfica youngster on Chelsea's Vision 2030 list of players. Interest of PSG and Milan went nowhere. Recommended by an ex-player. He has pace and power. He is left footed, but plays down either side. Moreira's contract at the Estadio da Luz expires on 30 June 2023, allowing Chelsea to swoop whilst only paying nominal compensation. Chelsea has a Vision 2030 list of young players they want playing in the first team in 7 years time. The ‘vision List’ - the seven year vision process has been running at Chelsea for more than 10 years. Academy players have been included in the list and there has been many successes apparently. June 8, 20233 yr Just checking to see if we've found a decent striker who doesn't want to play CL football next year... Nothing yet then.

We started the transfer window with the difficult task of off loading around 15 players we don't need and buying a striker, defensive mid, and a new goalkeeper. What we're actually doing is getting rid of players we didn't really want to lose and now having the more difficult task of replacing them, and still needing to off load around 15 players we don't need and buying a striker, defensive mid, and a new goalkeeper.
