We won the champions league with this squad only 2 years ago, and only have 2 average goalkeepers, 2 injury prone fullbacks and an old man remaining if rumours of who are leaving are true. Mendy Azpilicueta Thiago Silva Rudiger James Kante Jorginho Chilwell Mount Werner Havertz subs Caballera Kepa Alonso Emerson. Christensen Zouma Gilmour Kovacic Hudson-Odoi Pulisic Ziyech Giroud It's a truly astonishing rebuild/ reset/ reboot/ ripitupandstartagain.

He has just seen Haaland win a treble and wants some of the limelight. Won’t be surprised if this a play for an increased pay packet from the Qataris, his idol Ronaldo did this annually with Madrid until Perez got tired. Madrid is his obvious destination but where would he play though? Vinicius is nailed on for the LW & has just taken the No 7 shirt, unless Carlo can convince him Mbappe he can be as devastating as a No 9 it will be a weird move.
June 13, 20233 yr I don't think it's about money. He knows PSG are miles away from a CL title. Anyway, it will be interesting. One of his strops with PSG was over being forced to play 9. Vinicius v Mbappe for the spot on the left. Some contest. Edited June 13, 20233 yr by dermott

June 13, 20233 yr Saudia Arabia is the new destination for stars in the twilight of their careers. Twilight or gloaming? Depends on the star I guess. Big Rom is thinking about moving to Saudi for the big bucks. Inter do not want him and seems Pochettino doesn't want him either. Saudi Arabia and a big pool and the chance to slob out and earn some BIG money before retiring is an option for BIG ROM Kalidou Koulibaly is considering a move to Al-Ittihad this summer where he would be joining Kante. Kalidou Koulibaly (CB) is the preferred option/target for Inter if Milan Skriniar fails to agree a new deal. Juventus offer an option as they are one CB light and are not 100% confident in Gatti - but they are having a torrid time financially and may well soon be changing coach. A return to Napoli may become an option if they lose Kim Min-Jae. Expect K2 to leave in the summer with the Middle East also providing options

Moving on some of our bloated squad looked like a difficult job, but this could open up an easy route to shift a few players on, particularly the ones on high wages. Lukaku and Koulibaly in particular looked like difficult sales but if the Saudi league come calling we have ourselves a nice get out of jail free card.

June 14, 20233 yr We need a GK, CF and a backup LB. Sell Sterling, K2, whoever that doesn't want to be here and Cucu. We might not get to sell much but if the board has this plan in motion, I'm happy enough already. Pochettino might need a couple of years to get a proper team going after last season's nightmare

I think we are also hoping to sell Cucurella. I think Chillwell doesn't have the best injury record AND there is talk of sending Hall out on loan. . . Maybe we do need a LB? idk. Lots of things that were supposed to be happening, haven't happened yet. . . .it's distressing lol
June 14, 20233 yr Romelu Lukaku will get £20m a season at Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. IF he takes the deal. Fingers crossed. Auba may also go the Saudi Arabian route. Dusan Vlahovic to Chelsea? Juventus asking for £68m allegedly. Ian Maatsen to Burnley? Chelsea are holding out for £20m - Burnley offered £15m
June 15, 20233 yr Vlahovic rumoured and I must admit he is quality and one of the very few top strikers out there who is actually affordable. If Havertz has decided to leave and the club agrees with it, I say let's milk Arsenal, Bayern or whoever wants to sign him for as much money as possible, prefferably around 65-70M and go all in for Vlahovic. We need a top striker, Juve are desperate for money, I am sure the player would agree with the move. All the ingredients are there for a transfer, truly hope this happens in the coming weeks.

What are you basing Vlahovic being quality on. Whenever i have seen him he has been pretty rubbish tbh.

June 15, 20233 yr Vlah seems very blah. The most interesting thing about him is that Juventus bought him for £66.6m from Fiorentina. 666. Ooooo. spooky.

So is Maatsen. We shouldn't be depending on Cucurella for anything. Guy needs confidence to perform and him behind Chilly offers zero rivalry.

June 16, 20233 yr No chance we sign another LB, certainly the least of our worries. Bash has even played there out on loan and from reports been a standout performer for Paderborn. That leaves Chilly, Cucu, Hall, Maatsen, Bash all can fill in there. ST, CDM and GK should be our only focus this window.
June 16, 20233 yr I really hope we go again for Amrabat, looks bang on for the PL Amrabat-Enzo-Caciedo
