have to agree with you mate. I was in the NS that days and it was non stop. Remember a Palace fan wearing a Cardboard top hat getting a right hiding that day. It just went on throughout the whole game and then some!!! 

Sorry to go back a week or so but been away! When we all drank light and bitter (to get a drop or two extra), we went to Blackpool for a cup game. After the compulsory paddle in the sea (in January!) we adjourned to the pub and asked for light and bitters. " No chance mate, we have light beer and dark beer". Not unreasonably, we then asked for "6 light and lights". "Flash Southern bar stewards, OUT!" Next time I'll go for a Sex on the Beach!

Talking of Blackpool, like all Northerners they think we're all flash cockneys. Just to play up to their stereotype, next time Im in Blackpool I'm deliberately gonna pay way over the odds for donkey rides, just to make Northern holiday makers look like paupers

I was 8 back then. I could have sworn life was in colour in 1970 (although TV wasn't).

First time I ever saw a colour telly was for the replay. My nan signed a rental agreement for one and had it installed the morning of the replay and sent it back the next day saying she couldn't get on with it, got away with it as well, deposit refunded the lot, quality.

    The viewing figures for the replay were collosal. It's something like the 3rd or 4th highest audience for a football match in this country, including England in World Cups

    Make that the second most watched sporting event ever viewed in this country. 28 million tuned in. More than the opening ceremony of the London Olympics, and only bettered by the 66 World Cup final. It either captured the attention of the wider public or there was sod all else on telly that night

    Update. When this scouse git first posted his item, he described it as "The Ultimate Chelsea Collection", including so he said, a signed-match worn Frank Lampard shirt, and no less than three programmes signed by Frank himself, together with a few other bits. This was at Everton, hence the Liverpool connection, so he said. Opening bid: £1,000 plus around £3 for delivery. No takers.

     

    Yesterday, he'd changed the description to read "Less Than 48HRS!!! Frank Lampard CFC 100th Anniversary Home Shirt Worn & Signedt". Opening bid was down to £100 (reserve not met), no takers.

     

    Bidding has now ended, apparently due to "an error in the listing", Description was the same, but with a starting bid of 99p and Free Express Delivery, there were still no f**king takers!

    From a grand to less than a quid and this dozey  f**ker still can't make a sale.
