January 10, 201610 yr I'm sure yellow paint day was 1973/74 season about March/April time I ws 16 and just about to leave School Yes your right the 69-70 was when Arsenal are in the Shed there's a photo of it. My neighbour a Gooner who was a lot older then me used to delight in showing me it.
January 13, 201610 yr Thought that the late Brian Moore was a cracking football comment or for ITV. Barry Davies is my bbc tv favourite football comment or. The late Peter Jones on Radio 2 was great to listen to.
January 13, 201610 yr Great win and footage from our 3-1 win over Arsenal in September 69. Some cracking play and saves by both keepers. Cheers for posting it.
January 14, 201610 yr A lot to enjoy in this one, some good shots of the Shed, a weird Dads Army type arrow at 5.40 after Keith Weller's superb goal presumably to show who was to blame for the goal. But best of all is David Coleman's no nonsense commentary a sort of cross between a strict headmaster and disappointed dad. Edited January 14, 201610 yr by Passed It
January 14, 201610 yr Author Have a look here lads, some quality Chelsea pics on there.. https://twitter.com/Oldskoolawayday
January 14, 201610 yr ^ Great photos. I love the one of Cardiff v Chelsea from 1931 and the fans sitting and standing on the unfinished roof. Wouldn't get that now.
January 14, 201610 yr Can't recall if this has already posted. Taken in 1972 just before the League Cup Final

January 17, 201610 yr Joey Jones was one of my favourite Chelsea players of that era. 2 words-Brighton away!
January 18, 201610 yr Love this photo, it reminds me of when I joined the queue on the Saturday night before - with a few hundred of us, sitting on the pavement outside the main entrance of Stamford bridge, waiting for the ticket office to open at 10 am Sunday morning to buy Fa cup replay tickets against Leeds at old Trafford. I remember Eccles going down the road telling us that the Tottenham mob were coming over and we should be ready to greet them! Our vocal support at old Trafford was the greatest I've ever experienced, the whole of the Stretford end was a sea of blue n white scarves and special edition daily express hats! Ossie's diving headed goal is my number one Chelsea Goal of all time. Because of the quality and what it meant to us Chelsea fans at that time.
