A guy who drinks in my local pub is a mate of John Boyle. I'll show him this photo when I next see him.

I was in the pub yesterday and met the guy who is a mate of John Boyle. He mentioned that one of John Boyle's nephews drinks in the pub. I know who he was talking about so when I see him will show the picture and will give him a copy to show to John.

Just one question how was your scotch egg Boyne ?🤣. Haven't been in my local but it's soup and a roll as the substantial meal apparently no one touches it and after five minutes the barmaid chucks it away such a load of bollocks.

It was a steak bake and a few vegetables which I had to wash down with three pints.

There was a few people who had food in front of them and it wasn't touched.

My local is a micro pub so space is limited and the landlady is strict about who can sit with whom.

The whole thing about having to eat is a bit daft and by and large pubs are safe and with safe distancing. A lot safer than some shops.

Looking forward to going back to the pub on match day. Wonder if that will be this season.

In that huddersfield picture from the right Steve Kember ,John Dempsey ,Dave Webb but on the far left hand side who is the CFC player?

I started going early seventies and we all know that team but this player has me beaten but i know one of you will enlighten me

cheers

Tony Potrac of Chelsea seen here with Peter Osgood at Stamford Bridge. The final score was a two all draw . January 1972 72-0231-004

Chelsea v. Huddersfield. Chelsea's new boy Tony Potrac is kicked from behind by Huddersfield's No. 3 Geoff Hutt. The final score was a two all draw...
Tony Potrac. The only first team game he ever played for us.  He’s shown here  in another picture of this game with Peter Osgood .
He was No 7. In this game. So I checked the great bounder.friardale site.

No problem. I’d no idea either, if it wasn’t for the great bounder friardale site.

Going back to the pub on match day? That’s been the topic of conversation in my household for weeks!! Just walked up town with our dog and went past where I have a fry up before catching train to London, one day I will be walking up there with my small Chelsea pin badge on show on a match day, as for when those sliding train doors open at West Brompton.. kid in sweet shop springs to mind

Yes, miss meeting up with the guys I go to the games with. Going to the pub before and after the match is all part of the experience. Will be great when we meet up again and all the banter.

Johnny Boyle used to use Brockwell Park lido. Imagine , he didn't have a pool at his mansion ! Players were just like the fans in many ways back then
