August 28, 201312 yr Currently weighing up upgrading my PC for the sake of being able to run Rome Total War 2, it is ever so tempting but I cannot really afford to do it at the moment.
August 28, 201312 yr Damn I need to get my new Xbox live gold card quick and check out BF3 multiplayer before GTA V arrives because that will take up all of my time . Rome Total War 2? I love the 1st one on PC i've been playing it for ages. Is the 2nd one out already and does it have some serious requirements to run? One of the few PC games I actually would consider playing apart from Ghost Recon: Online which is brilliant.
August 29, 201312 yr It is on the verge of being released, I imagine the minimum requirements will be quite high.
August 29, 201312 yr I hope my PC will be able to handle it because now I really really want to play that game.
August 31, 201312 yr So in the next 5-6 weeks, GTA V, FIFA, Batman, and Beyond: Two Souls all come out. That's going to hurt the pocketbook, I still haven't played Dishonored, Last of Us, or Bioshock: Infinite yet either!!
August 31, 201312 yr Anyone got diablo 3 for PC? Loved the other 2, can't beat a dungeon looter. Its out on console next week and I will be getting it.
September 1, 201312 yr I do. The game itself is good. However, there are some serious issues on PC that fortunately the PS3 version will not have. The RMAH (Real Money Auction House) basically destroyed the PC version of the game imho. You can pay for whatever items you want making the game all that much easier. Since the viable droprate is awful (when does a Demon Hunter need strength for the 2h crossbow, hmm?), players are forced to use either the standard gold AH or the RMAH. Since you get buy items for cash or buy a ton of gold cheap to use on the standard AH, prices are extremely inflated. It's a vicious cycle that has no end. I basically played my DH through Inferno then stopped. The good news for the console is that there is no RMAH. There is also (supposedly) a better usable droprate for classes. The gameplay is very good. I never really felt out of control on my DH. I thought reaction times were very well and I feel most of the mobs are balanced pretty decently. The levels are very detailed and I enjoyed the additional random caves, dungeon areas, etc. as you advance up the difficultly level. It's tough to beat the same game 4 times in a row even with different loot, caves, etc. The story though is average at best imho. I was hoping for a bit more. I won't get it for console because I have it on PC. I believe my son wants it though, so we might get it for him at some point. Edited September 1, 201312 yr by Arq
September 3, 201312 yr Was a huge fan of Blizzard until they became top dogs and Activision got hold of them. Original Starcraft and the Warcraft RTS series were incredible games. Never played Diablo though.
September 4, 201312 yr Yes they were Castiel. Even WoW, as much as some people cannot stand it, is amazing to still have over 7 million players for being a 9 year old game. Something to be said for that. Diablo, the series as a whole, was pretty darn good. Diablo 2, after patches and expansion packs, was the pinnacle. I think that may be some of the downfall of Diablo 3... Super high expectations. If Blizzard can deliver on their new MMO code named "Titan", they'll still be in the driver's seat for years to come.
September 4, 201312 yr Yep got to tip your hat to them for WoW too. Pretty much every other company has tried to emulate them and failed miserably.
September 4, 201312 yr Got diablo last night, and loving it so far. Its the kind of game I love at the moment, can pick up and play for 20 minutes or 4 hours. Turn your brain off action in the main.
September 4, 201312 yr Been playing Borderlands 2 the last couple of weeks, it's so over the top it just makes me smile.
September 4, 201312 yr Been playing Borderlands 2 the last couple of weeks, it's so over the top it just makes me smile.Me too, hadn't played for ages but had a night a few weeks ago where I got a bit of Xbox time. Such a great laugh playing it, the weapons are fantastic too.
September 4, 201312 yr Me too, hadn't played for ages but had a night a few weeks ago where I got a bit of Xbox time. Such a great laugh playing it, the weapons are fantastic too. I got an SMG a couple of nights ago that deals some serious damage... Only problem is makes it seem like you're walking in quick sand whist you use it... Oh and it screams at me in a high pitched voice when using it. "REEELOOOOOADING" "SWITHCING WEAPONS" So random but it really tickles me.
September 4, 201312 yr Is the one where you save the ai of a robot thing and have a choice of shield or gun to put in? I picked a shield, annoying sodding thing.
September 4, 201312 yr I know the one you are talking about but this was a different one, it's even more annoying and makes you walk so slow it borders on unusable. I've got a Gunzerker character so I bust it out when I pull out the two guns and pretend I'm invincible.
September 4, 201312 yr I'm doing a gunzerker too, dual weapon is great with two rocket launchers, though ammo is a problem
September 4, 201312 yr I find I dont really enjoy games as much anymore after playing the Mass Effect games. Such a huge fan of those. Anyone here whose played the Mass Effect games know of any similar games thats been released since?
September 5, 201312 yr Anyone going to buy Saints Row 4? Might pick it up once it's dropped in price. The review I read said that the super powers although fun at first make the game a bit pointless. I only recently played the third one, it was fun but once I was done with the campaign I was done, didn't feel like doing all the side missions etc.
September 5, 201312 yr I played the 3rd one but none of the others, I thought it was quite fun and enjoyed those side missions where you are shooting an alien film.
September 5, 201312 yr Loved Saints Row 2 but got bored of 3 pretty quickly. 4 looks insane, will buy it when it drops to like £10. GTA V will keep me entertained in the meantime!
