He is. He wasnt given a fair shake here by RdM (who was the one who really didnt like playing him) after that Sturridge pretty much made it clear he wanted to leave and Chelsea accommodated it. These two players are not the "norm" or what Chelsea have a "habit of doing". They are rare exceptions.

would be excellent, but it would surprise me AM will agree with that... Costa is their new Falcao, and I think Falcao wants to leave the french premiership as soon as possible, also because of the tax-issue there...

Not really getting all the Diego Costa buzz right now. He's technically limited, and offers nothing more in terms of physical presence than Lukaku does.

 

I'd prefer to keep De Bruyne. He hasn't had a great start but I feel he will be more useful to us as the season goes on, particularly given he can play in several different positions.

De Bruyne needs to leave for his own sake, he's too good to be a useful squad member

In reality he's probably our 6th best CAM/winger so he really is better off somewhere else and I wouldn't hold a grudge if he wanted to be sold.

 

Plus we have Piazon to return next season if we want. Losing a CAM or 2 wouldn't hurt us.

I still think he'd do a better job at CM than Lampard is doing this season but that's more than likely not going to happen. I also think overall he's even better than Schurrle and Willian but he's just not getting the chance.

Can't see the logic in this gents. He is a good player (not great, if he was that good he'd be playing at least a little) with according to Jose a poor attitude. I personally think he is worthwhile taking a punt on, he will get games over Christmas and we should reassess.

 

As far as I'm concerned letting a player go because he wants to play in a World Cup is about as shortsighted and ridiculous suggestion as I've heard from the club's perspective.

I would say its right that De Bruyne is at this point behind the likes of Shuurle and Willian but really don't want the club to give up on him, he looks to me an even better prospect and I would guess with the right managing in three years time he will be better than both.

 

I've got nothing to base this on but gut instinct after seeing limited appearances but something tells me he has something special.

 

I won't go overboard on him not getting chances although I'd like to see him because Shuurle and Willian have undoubtably done more to stake a claim to a place with the chances they've got but although obviously better for his future with his national team, I think if we lose him it will be a real shame.

Our system has no natural position for De Bruyne, which is right-midfield. He's not a winger or a CAM, he's a right-sided midfielder like David Beckham. When Belgium played U.S.A. he tore us up from that deep-right spot. But Chelsea don't play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 so there's no right midfielder, just wingers. De Bruyne ain't no winger
