Kevin De Bruyne

Featured Replies

He did like the party lifestyle and being seen with celebrities. I suspect the combination of that and possibly a desire to be in the first team sooner rather than later resulted in his departure. I'm not convinced the first team would be any stronger if we still had him. The first team squad would be however I don't think he was prepared to rotate in and out of the first eleven.

Not Kevin, Loz.

He doesn't like the party lifestyle!

And celebrities. That's nothing for him.

He only wants to play. That's all. Every minute.

Football is his life.

Like I wrote before. He works very hard.

Makes the greatest distance in Germany.

Is king of the assist.

Is still a good player.

He was just too similar to players we already have, and at that point Jose decided that the others offered more.

KDB decided it was better to move on, we made a great profit on him, so good business by the club as far as I'm concerned.

Willian and KDB started on a equal platform, one proved him self to jose and one failed to do so

I meant more in the sense of if we hadn't overstocked on attacking midfielders I wonder if KDB would have settled and progressed with us.

He was behind Mata as well, if I had to pick one to still be here it would also be Mata

Clear parallels with his compatriot Lukaku. Neither of them showed the desire to battle for their place, and if you don't have that there's no place for you at Chelsea. It's not about talent in KdB's case. He certainly has that.

Mata's case was different. He wanted to stay but knew he couldn't adapt to the style Jose wanted. He just didn't have the physical attributes. He certainly tried when he got picked, but he wasn't up to it, for all his talent.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a holiday for them, Backbiter.

And I'm pretty sure, they had a dream of succeeding in Chelsea too.

No doubt. They are very ambitious.

But you're right. The competition in Chelsea is at a very high level.

(I don't know how a footballer can show the desire to battle at that level.)

Kevin just scored a goal against Bayern that Hazard would have been very proud of. I've always liked the boy and I'm sort of sad it didn't work out for him with us. He certainly has the talent.
