Fantastic! One of my best memories of (too infrequent) time spent with my dad was when he took me to a Chelsea game. As bluegraham said, a great bonding experience.

i remember taking my daughter to her 1st game i took her to the bar in the ground (before it was frankies ) on the sat couple hours before the game trying my luck to get 2 tickets for the game but they sold out went back with 2 tickets for champs leaque game for the following wednesday she just cried never forget it ...she was like wow so yeah def something to remember 1st game and dont forget to get him the scarf chelsea/stoke outside the ground as a momento ;)

So what do you guys think,is the best age for the little ones to make the trip?

I have a 3 year old boy here and I have to do everything to keep em away of the Bridge  .

So every time I'm leaving for a game I have to lie to him where I will go.

I planned to wait he is 5 years and then take him with me,but the only problem is that my trips are heavy. In the night leaving Belgium with car to calais and coming back home after a jpurney of approx. 24 hours .

So thats the Biggest problem, but I always can do it while we have a City trip with a ight in a hotel.

Cant wait to take him to his favorite place.

Good Luck tea bar boy

Best age for the first time? Maybe 7 or 8 years old? He or she would remember it, their behavior is a bit easier to manage and they'd appreciate the experience. Just my guess.

i think 6-7 is a good age only by my own experence.Ttry and get seats sat the end of rows so that you can easally take them to the toilet, im lucky now my step daughter is 8 and isn`t as bad now but 5-7 years old we see more of the toilets then the game lol .I think once your in the stadium they will love it and be fine the worst part of taking young kids is the crowds before and especially after when everyone is leaving at the same time can get scary for them.

I took my son to Pompey away at the start of the season in a friendly, big mistake, as he couldn't see a thing :laugh2: however at the bridge against Norwich

he was absolutely fine, our stewards are a lot more strict when it comes to standing.

Have a good day mate, and don't forget to spoil him in the megastore as well, I'm always getting

stitched up in their whenever I take him  lol, you'd think the novelty of it would have worn off for him.

reckon the atmos will be class tomorrow, hope everyone gets behind Robby and the boys! Train departing at 7:52am :bEERkEG:

COYB!!

Have a brill day fella.

It gave me such a buzz when i took my daughter Chelsea to the bridge at 12 yrs old for the first time. She loved it although she found it a bit frightening when we scored ! (which was 5 times against the barcodes back in Joses day)

Following on from the 'Your first Chelsea' game' thread, we could have a 'first Chelsea game you took your son/ daughter to' thread.

The first game I took my elder son to was the 5-1 home game v Bolton, in 2001. Lamps scored his first league goal for us. He was also there to see Zola's last goal for us, that fantastic lob v Everton.

Mt younger son's debut was a tame 0-0 draw at home to Southampton.

My daughter's debut was a dreadful 2-3 defeat at Villa, when I knew Mutu just had to be on drugs, as he was indescribably useless.

......so poor little Alfie was sick on the hour every hour during the night and then his sister decided to join the party and show anything her brother could do she could do better !

No Chelsea today for Alfie and his Dad I am really gutted .

Life just keeps giving at the moment !

Oh Tea Bar Boy, that is SO sad. Wee Alfie will be so disappointed. It may even have been over-excitement that brought it on. Re-schedule as soon as you can!

I know it's not the same but join us in the chat room this afternoon, if your kids have stopped throwing up all over the place.

:sadwalk:

Poor stuff, Ade. Next time will be special, today we won but it was a bit of a dross match.

That's OK. It just means you and he still have a fantastic first-time experience ahead of you. Something wonderful to which you can both look forward. It will happen some day, and you'll both love it when it does!
