Andreas Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 ESPN Soccernet †@ESPNSoccernet BREAKING NEWS: Pep Guardiola's exit from Barcelona at the end of the season is official. #fcb
CFCCAN Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Well that's it then... AVB to get the job so he can play like Barca with Barca players
BLUENUT Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 How about Avram Grant?? I hope we don't see Pep at the bridge next year!!! Robbie 1st choice, for me. Jose 2nd if we go for a 'big name' with Robbie as his No2!
Andreas Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Think Pep said he wants a year off from football anyway, press conference coming up in 2 mins. In spanish im guessing but oh well
evissy Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Well that's it then... AVB to get the job so he can play like Barca with Barca players And I honestly think he'd do very well. I still rate the man. He just came to a club that wasn't ready to accept him and his views. Our brand(of football) is so strong still that it seems to be better just to play our strengths rather than 'barcelonalize' the team. He made a mistake believing he can do something and do something quick. I think Roman is thinking of signing Pep but I hope Roberto gets to keep his job. I think Guardiola is smart enough to know how to handle our players after seeing what happened to AVB if he'd come to Chelsea...
evissy Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Tito Vilanova, new Barcelona manager. Where'd you get this? Official?
Ozztheboss Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 AVB got the job of "Barcelonizing" the Youth team, which is now by far the best team in England with a very young squad as well. Shame his ideas didn't go through in the first team.
dkw Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 And the only club he couldnt beat while managing Barcelona is.........
Andreas Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) Where'd you get this? Official? Barca livestream confirmed, dont know Spanish but journos on twitter who do already announced it Edited April 27, 2012 by Andreas

Andreas Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Confirmed and announced now. FC Barcelona †@FCBarcelona Sandro Rosell announces that Tito Vilanova will be @FCBarcelona's new manager. #FCBLive
undertow Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Tito Vilanova, new Barcelona manager. They're missing the beat here, they should have named him as interim manager :)
Peckham Blue Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) Good luck to him in the future. Their football has been wonderful and a pleasure to watch (still prefer watching RM when it comes to Spanish football though), shame that some of their success has been tainted by being EUFA's darlings and at the end of the day proud of our record against his teams. I do wish him well though as he seems a genuinely nice bloke and you never know, maybe one day he may turn up here. Edited April 27, 2012 by Peckham Blue
Phillip Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) I like Josep. He is a classy person, and I hope he comes back to managing soon. I might as well as this, since it has been bugging me. Peckham Blue refers to the entity as "EUFA", as I have seen others do on this web site. I thought it is UEFA, and so the switching of the first two letters confuses me. Which is it? Spiller86 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 It will be one of the great moments of stupidity if we again try and impose tiki-taka on the team after the disaster of this season.

In English it's UEFA, Phillip - in French too.
PraetorianGuard Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Did we really try and impose it? It looked like a confused mixture of total and English football to me.
Spiller86 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 PG This conversation perhaps sits better in the other thread. If you take a look at that thread I think Star and geezer have made my points very eloquently over there.
