I'm torn between Luiz, Lampard and Cole's. As calm, non-chalant and hugely important as Drogba's penalty was. Luiz, Lamps and Cole all scored stunning Penalties. With Luiz using power and accuracy far out of Neuer's reach, to Lampard smashing it right down the middle and with Cole placing it superbly into the side netting.

I'm probably going to go with Lampard's.

If i was unbiased i would pick neuer but i'll vote for luiz because of his crazy run up

Ashley Cole's was the pressure penalty IMO, side netting finish- stunning from a left back who had just worked his socks off for 120 minutes.

errrrr....drogba because it won us the champion's league.......

But putting that one to the side, I can't split Cole and Luiz.

I think Luiz shot the perfect one.

If it was just for what it achieved, it would be Drogba's, but Luiz's one was just so perfectly executed. A long run up and just smashes it in. Not a chance for the keeper.

Luiz. Three reasons:

1. His manic run up.

2. The way he stared down the Bayern supporters after he scored.

3. His penalty was critical following Mata's miss...if he hadn't converted, Neuer would have put them up 3-0.

Drogba - as it's simply my fav Chelsea penalty of all time.

I couldn't vote for Luiz because he scared the s*it out of me with that run up. I screamed at him and was sure he'd fire the ball out of the stadium.

Because of Luiz I'll probably live a few years less than I would have.

You're not the only one.

With the nerves I had watching the game and especially the penalties and the memories of Moscow being clearer than ever Drogbas run up (or lack of it) almost made me fall apart.

A few seconds later the ball hit the back of the net and all memories of Moscow flew away, the nerves disappeared and an explosion of happiness filled me up. Jumping, screaming, laughing, crying. What a night.

Think it has to be Lampard's mostly because if he misses and Olic scored, it would have been game set match. I think it was a real captain's penalty and just showed to me how he never lets us down, ever. Complete legend.

Ashley Cole's and Didier Drogba's penalties were the best.

On further reflection, Drogba's PK was better than I remembered. While it didn't have quite the speed you'd expect, it eventually gets pretty close to the post. Still, I'd go with Cole's as the best technical penalty, with Luiz second. Neuer's was quite nice as well.

I know this is a thread about out penalties, but can I just give a bonus vote to Cech. Six penalties in the final, he went the right way on all of them, saving three. Absolutely brilliant!

Plus one in extra time. Pathetic isn't it? For a top class goalkeeper I sure as hell expected a lot more.

The amazing thing about Drogba's penalty is how confident he was while taking it. Didn't even need a run up. Just took a step or two and BANG, right in the bottom corner. Neuer wouldn't have been able to save that anyway had he gone the right way.

Cole's was also brilliant because of how precise it was. You'd think he was taking a penalty at Cobham, rather than a penalty to level the shootout in a Champions League final. Top class.

Luiz's was perfect in every way. Tons of pressure on him due to Mata's miss, but cool as you like. You could have had 5 goalkeepers in there and it still would've went in.

Cole. By far. Side netting, perfectly hit, and with pace. Never going to be saved.
