Scott Sinclair going to City?

Featured Replies

Sorry if there is a thread on this, but I couldn't find anything.

"Despite a large amount of Manchester City interest, reports suggest that Chelsea will enter the race to sign Scott Sinclair in these latter stages of the summer transfer window."

Surely this is just pure speculation or lazy reporting from a desperate website.......or is there any truth in this? I was diappointed when we let him go, but seriously do we need another attacking midfielder? Mind you we could do with a bit of width, just seems as though we'd either be going backwards or admitting a very bad mistake.

I've always rated him higher than he deserves and even after he went to Swansea I still keep tabs on the kid. That fact is though he really isn't good enough for us, his turnover last year wasn't good enough. Regardless im still a fan of his.

I agree. Another player that I liked and wanted to do well but just wasn't good enough. Hopefully this was just more sloppy journalism.

I doubt there is any truth in it. I think he is a good little player. I think he should have been given more of a chance with us.

Yeah I really do and that's just my opinion. Never thought we should have sold him.$

Sinclair can finish, and is good with the ball whereas Moses is good with the ball but has poor end product of course the same was said about Thierry Henry and look what happened there so who knows maybe Moses will improve but at the moment I'm worried he's gonna be another one of those players who can run n that's it I.e. Lennon, Walcott, Kalou etc

The only time that Scott Sinclair has demonstrated skill as a finisher was his year with Swansea in the Championship. His end product last season was more lacking than Moses'.

Sinclair scored 8 goals last season to Moses 6, I don't know about assists and although its only minor that makes him more prolific than Moses. I suppose Sinclair does take pens though so maybe I am wrong here.

Half of Sinclair's goals were penalties. He only scored 4 from the run of play to go with 5 assists. None of Moses' 6 goals were penalties and he had 6 assists.

Plus Moses was the most successful dribbler in the EPL last year ahead of Hoiliett,Moses isnt predictable like Sinclair and like Walcott lacks any skill to beat a defender. If you watched Wigan beat Arsenal at the Emirates last season where Moses tore Sagna (supposedly the best defensive RB in the league) apart time and time again.
