JT is back at last!

Featured Replies

Brilliant news. We really need his leadership back in the side.Been a bit strange without him, especially with everything else that's been going on.

Great to see John Terry back in a Chelsea shirt. It's currently half time in the Under 21s match against Fulham at Cobham (JT being one of the allowed over-age players, obviously). We've been by far the better side but the score remains 0-0.

More importantly perhaps, JT has played the full 45 minutes, had a decent runaround, put in a sliding tackle or two and made his presence felt in the Fulham area, getting a header in that he'll be disappointed to have seen miss the target. It's unclear yet whether he'll be coming out for the second half, let alone whether he'll be deemed fit to play any part at all in the game at Stoke.

Hasn't come out for second half but at least that's a decent 45 minutes under his belt although he does still look a few weeks of first team action.

I've just added the following image to the Chelsea vs Fulham Under 21's match thread, but I think I think it's worth posting here as well because it's quite wonderful to see JT back in a Chelsea shirt and making steady progress towards making his comeback with the first team:

It was kind of surreal seeing him on the pitch surrounded by youngsters. The lad that he partnered at the back was only 16! If his career doesn't take off as hoped, he'll at least have that memory. I bet he learned quite a lot in that 45 minutes.

Well that's now a possibility! Bizarrely after saying he needed more time on Chelsea tv last night, he is in the squad for tomorrow now! He will probably be on the bench but still a major boost for everyone

Don't think anyone was even bothered about the pen! First game in a long time, so it's understandable, and I'd rather it was when we're 4-0 up at 80 mins than any other time. Great to see him back in the team!
