Lukaku doesn't fall under that category though, he has to prove himself at Chelsea not just out on loan. He needs to learn to be patient and not think he has the right to be automatic first choice.

He should look up to Schurrle as a role model. He has fought for his place and scored goals.

Spot on Zola, I've changed my mind on him after these recent comments, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but now I just think f**k him. He clearly doesn't have the balls to try and fight for his place. Seems to want everything handed to him.

But he hasn't been given a chance at Chelsea! Demba Ba & Torres are given chance after chance & Lukaku is given nothing. Let's not forget either that Torres has time & time again complained & mouthed off about players & managers while he has been at Chelsea.

Lukaku was the one who asked to go out on loan, if he's not willing to stat and fight then why should he be given a chance? You have to take tour chances when they come like Apzi and Schurrle.

He limped off late in their match with Tunisia. Would hate from a neutral standpoint, and as a fan of the player & the Belgium side, for him to be out of the tournament.

 

This finals, more than ones previous, seems like it will be missing lots of quality players due to injuries.

Exactly. I too was hoping to see him have a go at it next season after a good season at Everton. I had hoped that it would settle him down and matured him somewhat, but again, he opens his mouth and makes it obvious that he has no interest in playing for the team and fighting for his spot.

If he doesn't buck his ideas up, man up and put his big boy trousers on, he can just f**k off basically.

Another valid point. How can Jose determine how well he plays with the team if he's not here? I don't blame Jose for wanting to get some proven forwards in this summer. He can't be expected to gamble on an immature little boy like Lukaku when he can't afford another season without silverware (let's face it, we all know what Roman is like).

Also takes time to fully assess the team and how he would fit. He's delusional if he thought he would come back and automatically be placed as first choice. He'll wind up at Valencia next season I reckon.

Didn't Sturridge leave for similar reasons? I just wonder whether the club can't manage these young up and coming players in a better way. Top strikers tend to have big egos that need to be massaged.

Yep...it was bad, but I was referring more to Torres under Jose.....Lukaku handed in a transfer request last august and has not shut up since...anyway, I'd love chelsea to use him to get Everton to agree a deal for Barkley...would rather he was our no.10 than Oscar to be honest

If we sell him and he goes on to become a top class striker (which is almost certain), then it will be us with egg on our faces (again), not him.

Would love to see us make him the alternative choice to Costa next season, so long as he signs a new deal. If he does not sign, we have little choice but to sell him now or see him leave for peanuts later.

Sorry but I don't see how Lukaku is better than Sturridge, I didn't see Lukaku get as many gials as he dud last season or a spot on team of the year

Problem with that logic is the message it sends out to everyone else in the squad when they're not playing too...moan like a bitch and you get back in the team...Jose will look a weak coach and will have problems all over the place
