I would have loved us to sign Rakitic but i will be equally happy to get Fabregas, even though he has Arsenal connections. This is a good move for both teams. I do feel though that Barcelona have pulled off a very good deal getting him for £16 million.

I reckon we are just waiting for Rakitic to officially join Barca and then we should announce it (hopefully).

I reckon the offer from Chelsea (fee and wages) has been on the table for about a week or so but Cesc has been taking his time to say yes, and Barcelona wouldn't of given the ok until they sign a replacement anyway.

 

I think Cesc would of gone back to Arsenal if Wenger had wanted him, but it now seems that he doesn't, so his options are limited a bit.

 

I think now it's in the balance, and if it does go ahead it will be done by this Friday. I just get the feeling once Spain kick off for their first world cup match there's more chance the deal won't happen..

 

I hope we can get this sorted as I think he would be a cracking signing.

I can't help but think that these guys like Guilleam Balague and Graham Hunter have an incentive to "create hype" on behalf of skybet and skysports etc.

 

I mean what if they created all this hype so that people put money on transfers which actually aren't very progressed at all? 

 

I know it's assuming the worst but these guys actually do have incentives to create hype. The popularity of their twitter and media followers is another reason why they would do it.

    I actually don't think he's as bad as most people make out. He has got things correct with spanish players in the past, and he hasn't been caught out on this one yet either.

     

    Most of the cr*p put out on Twitter by others isn't even worth repeating.

    How can a fee and personal terms not been made? Is it case of the club verbally agreeing a price but not actually sending the money through?
