He'll be another buy them cheap with the hope of selling him on at a tidy profit. In the days of FFP we have to look at every avenue of making money. At 3.5m we're unlikely to be bitten  but could possibly double our outlay in 12/18mths time.

Cost 3.5m. Going out on loan. One for the future perhaps. Plus Spurs were after him...

 

 

Thing is he's 21.

 

Schurrle, Hazard, Oscar, KDB, Moses, Piazon are all basically the same age. 

If Monday night told us anything it is that we need a striker.  At the moment we cannot play with the 'False-9' formation, at least not until our players are a little more well-oiled and fluid.  I actually thought Shurlle did very well, and when Torres came on for him to get moved out on the wing I thought he looked very good.  But WHY are we buying another midfielder?!  I can only imagine it is as Socrates above said - he will go out on loan and be one for the future.  And then get sold when we realise he isn't good enough.

I think you might be right.

 

UEFA are shooting themselves in the foot with regards to FFP. 

 

Like you say, teams such as ourselves are now just stock piling young talent from around the globe on the cheap, looking to develop them (away from the club) and then sell them on to make the books look good.

 

Strange times. 

He cant sign until September and even then probably wont get a work permit so im not sure what will happen with him tbh. Maybe just train with us and then go out on loan when the next window opens.
