March 29, 201412 yr End of season for Valdes and no world cup (even last game with Barca) Víctor Valdés suffers ACL tear http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/first-team/detail/article/awaiting-news-on-valdes-injury May be it's the year of Atletico after all Valdes isn't that good that he'd make that much of a difference
April 5, 201412 yr Author Great goal by Bale tonight. https://vine.co/v/MidQdIJavBH Edited April 5, 201412 yr by enigma
April 5, 201412 yr Author 4-0 Madrid are leading now. This is away to real sociedad who are 6th in the table.
April 6, 201412 yr Great goal by Bale tonight. https://vine.co/v/MidQdIJavBH So, are those ungrateful Real Madrid fans still booing him then or are they cheering him now ? Edited April 6, 201412 yr by Scott Harris
April 6, 201412 yr Author So, are those ungrateful Real Madrid fans still booing him then or are they cheering him now ? they are a fickle bunch. I think they just expect hat tricks all the time from him and ronaldo.
May 7, 201412 yr Wow so if barca beat athletico last game they win the league! Quite an achievement considering the stick they have been getting all season
May 8, 201412 yr Real blew it! If Madrid lose the final will Carlo get the chop? Would it surprise you? I will definitely be watching the final game between Athletico and Barca, should be a cracker!
May 8, 201412 yr Author Without Ronaldo and bale they really struggle. Ronaldo is becoming very injury prone and if he continues to get injuries, real could end up in trouble. Unless of course, they do buy suarez.

Unless of course, they do buy suarez. If I were Reals money men I would do everything to get Suarez in the summer, make him their no 1 target and let it be known. Suarez will not turn that down and Liverpool will again have a headache. Ronaldo------Suarez-------Bale That would be the best front 3 in Europe IMO.
May 8, 201412 yr Haha they bring back Casillas for one league game and it all goes wrong... Unlucky Carlo, looks like the treble is out of reach but there is still plenty to play for (plus they already have the Cup). Barca-Atletico is going to be ridiculous, I can't wait.

Think of the diving and play acting that will be on show!
May 12, 201412 yr I agree. It's hard to watch the so called great football being played when we have about five 4 minute periods of players faking injury and players running up to the ref asking for a player to be sent off for touching the player with the tip of their fingers. It's no wonder why teams can't defend in Spain, they aren't allowed to. That is also why I refuse to watch La Liga. It is also usually not very competitive (compared to say the Premier League), and too homogenized. I like the EPL because it's competitive, tougher, and not as homogenized.
May 17, 201412 yr So great to see neither Real or Barcelona win it. Amazing. If we had to lose to anyone in the CL this year, I'm glad it was to them.
May 17, 201412 yr I'm really pleased that Atletico have won it, I went there years ago when Hugo Sanchez was playing for them, they're a real down to earth club in a great part of Madrid and their current support is second to none in Spain. Well done to them.
May 17, 201412 yr Just heard they weren't presented with the trophy today and won't be until the beginning of next season. Very bizarre!
May 18, 201412 yr Just heard they weren't presented with the trophy today and won't be until the beginning of next season. Very bizarre! That is retarded. Why didn't they just do the trophy presentation yesterday ? only one of Barcelona or Atletico Madrid could win it and since they were both playing each other it can't have been difficult to prepare. It's hardly going to feel the same when they lift the trophy at the start of next season. Football can be really dumb at times. I am sure Atletico Madrid would like to do an open top bus parade, if they don't win the Champions League there won't be any point now. Edited May 18, 201412 yr by Scott Harris

I am sure Atletico Madrid would like to do an open top bus parade, if they don't win the Champions League there won't be any point now. I think the reasoning behind it was that only 500 athletico supporters were in the ground yesterday. Even then I don't understand why they can't just be presented with it at there home stadium next week sometime
May 18, 201412 yr ^ Apparently it's because the head of the Spanish FA was away and wouldn't be around to present it, which is odd to say the least. Surely they could have found someone else to do it.
May 18, 201412 yr So their goalkeeper and star striker won't even be there for the trophy, ridiculous.
May 18, 201412 yr My opinion is that they don't want to celebrate when they have another tough match ahead in a week. They want to stay focused. And the thinking is to roll down the streets of Madrid with two trophies and stick it to their neighbors.
