I think Pepe was lucky not to get sent off for trying to start a fight with Fabregas.

Kinda inconsistent that Ramos got sent off and Alves? (I think?) didn't when they both tripped someone up in the box as they went through on goal, although Neymar was probably in a better position so I guess that can be argued either way.

I didn't think the last penalty was one, it looked like Neymar tapped the ball between Carvajal and Alonso, then Carvajal tapped it away from him, then Neymar just ran into the pair of them and won the peno after he'd already lost possession, I don't think it would have been given in the league (unless it was Liverpool).

Overall if I had to place the ref on one side or the other i'd say the decisions led slightly in Barca's favour but certainly not enough to start a conspiracy theory.

How anyone can argue about that last penalty is beyond me. Iniesta put it past them and runs in a straight line only for alonso to clatter into him. It's a penalty whatever country or standard of football you play at.

That guy looks like he should be in a psych ward

You do realise he had a disability? I was watching it and when he came on the screen I thought "look at that nutter" and then realising a few seconds later it looked like he had a disability. I felt bad afterwards, poor guy.

There aren't too many footballers I detest these days but Pepe is the exception. What a horrible, cheating c*nt that guy is. I'm not a massive fan of Fabregas either but Pepe put his head into Fabregas and then went down clutching his head. I now take pleasure seeing Madrid lose, purely down to this one player.

Hard to say for sure in a gif!

Either way there is no reason to insult someone because of their looks. I just don´t get why so many people feel the need to taunt others because of appearances.

Besides I know I look like a crazy person  while I´m watching football.

In addition to that, it all started with Barca scoring, and then Pepe extending out his arm as Cesc ran past so that it would hit him, so then he could feign outrage and get in his face.

Complete proper c**t.

It looked to me like fabregas bumped into pepe on purpose.

I agree, when I saw that fan live I thought immediately he was disabled so taking the piss is harsh.

Big night in Spain tonight. Wins for Athletico, another goal for Costa, and Barca. But Real, Pepe and the second best player in La Liga lose for the second game in a row. 1st time they have lost two league games in a row since 2009 apparently!

Happy with that.

The reason why Real Madrid fail more often than not is because they are individuals, there is no team there, and there hasn't been for years now.

They are so obsessed with making that big name signing every summer that they end up forgetting about what is actually needed to win titles, a team.

If I were playing against Atletico in their remaining fixtures I would just roll over for them so that they can win the league.

It would be amazing to see them topple Barca and Madrid.... Although I still want Costa at the end of it.

It's the most exciting race for the title in years in Spain yet I still really struggle to watch any of it.  I saw the Real game last night (some of it) and it never ceases to amaze me just how badly they cheat, and the ref's buy it.  It's almost like they're more likely to get a freekick the more extravagent the dive.

In England we keep talking about the need to erradicate the cheating from the game but while its happening like that across Europe we're at a massive disadvantage in European competition, if football is to be a global competition then the rules need to be applied consistently - that aint going to happen.

I agree. It's hard to watch the so called great football being played when we have about five 4 minute periods of players faking injury and players running up to the ref asking for a player to be sent off for touching the player with the tip of their fingers.

It's no wonder why teams can't defend in Spain, they aren't allowed to.
