As soon as we started negotiating for him we knew it was going to get silly. If it allows us to win a Treble or even a Quadruple (which is a very realistic possibility when talking about adding someone like Pogba to the team we already have) is it really all that silly?

For any conspiracy theorists EUR/GBP is at a 2 month high, i.e. which might be considered by Juventus to be a good time to sell. If there's any truth to it I just hope we keep Oscar.

I don't think he's reached his potential yet, but it's not just about Pogba - it's obvious we need a centre mid who can impose himself on a game physically (unlike Fabregas). He's as good if not better than Essien imo, and I don't think anyone can disagree would be an upgrade over Mikel/Ramires.

Oscar is untouchable IMO. Unless its nearly a straight swap we'll be getting robbed. Oscar is worth every penny of what Sterling is.

I think you guys are all underestimating oscars injury. Ask yourselves how many full games he's played since about the end of February.

Not too mention being an absolute class box-to-box and defensive midfielder, the dude is clinical from outside the area. Pogba could add a different dimension to our attack with that (haven't had a real outside of the box threat except for on free-kicks since Mata/Lampard left) so that would just be able to open up so much space for Hazard, Pedro, Costa and who knows maybe even make Falcao look half decent.

I didnt know hes the best midfielder in the world. I must have missed that memo. I thought he was a 22 year old whos been largely anonymous on the big stage and being overvalued by his club. Surely such an amazing player must have other clubs knocking down the door for a chance to sign him at the low low price of 120m+ Brasils #10.

What am I thinking? Better snatch him up now before Madrid swoop in for 140 million.

Also like to point out getting robbed is a matter of value. Paying 20m pounds for Cech would have been 'robbing' Arsenal. Id pay 50m pounds for Pogba no questions asked but Oscar is AT LEAST worth 30. I dont know the conversion rate to euro but that seems a pretty steep price.

Nobody has won the Quadruple before and even if we got Pogba i highly doubt we would do it. He's good, but he's not THAT good.

Good to see the club being ambitious this window.

I'd absolutely love to have Pogba, I think he is fantastic, but lets not forget Man U gave him away for free 3 years ago, he has come on leaps and bounds but I don't think he is any better that a younger Toure, and city got him for 24 million (yes at 28 but proven), some of these figures are way over inflated, if you watched him vs barca, he played well but he didn't look like a player of the value that is being put on him, I think people just hear he is good and run with it rather than watch him closely, he is very good yes, but there are loads of guys that could do a similar job at a fraction of the price, I'd rather have witsle and keep oscar than any swap including oscar
