Agreed, whenever I've what he'd him he's looked a good player but I haven't been blown away. Also I'd like to say I don't think he's what we need in the middle, I honestly don't think he would suit us.

He seems to rated by the majority of pundits, and coaches, including Mourinho was has been speaking highly of him in the last 2 seasons.

I think he has everything, just needs to dominate games a bit more, but to be fair he is improving in this regard too.

I will say I have only seen him a handful of times so what I've seen isn't enough probably but what I have seen given our midfield problems I just don't think he's the answer to the issue we have there. Of course we're we to sign him I would live to be wrong.

would be really funny if because of all the speculation about his future he performed utter sh*te all season long and juve ended up selling only for 30-40mil

i don't think he'll be poor all season, but there are plenty of people who have watched him play consistently and say he isn't the next coming of zidane. he is talented of course, but because of his age and a handful of showreel goals, he is being hyped up so much. our problem is, we want to pay out all this money on one player when we should be looking closer to home. it makes me wonder if the managers get caught up in all the hype too.

Jose should give RLC a chance to prove himself, like Conte gave Pogba.

You're right, his transfer fee is massively over-inflated. A few youtube highlights, and long-range efforts shouldn't detract from that. 

 

Juve are in for a long season if they think they can get by with him, and average players like Pereyra in midfield -- not even considering Khedira's long term injury. 

To be quite honest I don't want us to sign Pogba. Yes, he is very talented and scores exceptional goals, but I don't think he's disciplined enough defensively to play in our pivot. We already suffer enough as it is from Fabregas' poor defensive ability, and so I don't see how Pogba would really improve us. 

 

The player I would ideally want next to Matic is Koke from Atletico Madrid. Not only does he have good creative abilities, but crucially is also an excellent tackler and has a solid tactical understanding of the game, drilled into him by Simeone over a number of years now.

 

Overall I think Koke's defensive qualities would improve our midfield more than Pogba's goalscoring ability, and therefore would make us a better team as a result. We don't really need goalscorers in the DM positions, to be able to compete tat the highest level in Europe we need players that can pick out a pass, cover ground well and retain their defensive shape consistently.

I think his price tag is way over the top because he has scored some wonder goals and has pulled off some audacious skills. But I also think that his overall game is under ate because of this.

I think 40-50 is his true value. How many 22 year old midfielders are capable to be a major part in a team that was the second best in Europe? The only one I can think of is koke who is also priced around that mark.

If the club can afford him, great let's do it, he is one of those players you would pay to watch. If he is too expensive then fair enough go for someone else.

I think we need some steel in midfield which I'm not entirely sure he would give us. Someone like a gattuso (not the current gattuso) would be nice. That belgium guy who plays for roma looks a beast too, but so little out there in quality that we're now going all out for pogba.

Was talking to my best at Eurosport, who isn't much of a football fan, but said that a lots of his news colleagues in Paris had been scrambling tonight to get the details re: Pogba story. He seemed to think that the deal was done with add-ons at 105 million euros.

Something about Ramires not even being on the bench today makes me think something is definitely up.  I also think us loaning Cuadrado to them (something we have been hesitant to do so far) might have been us trying to appease them into selling Pogba to us.  

Obviously I am one of the people who has extremely high praise for Pogba and feel like him on this team will only help make him the player he can be.  He will shine under Mourinho.
