Some rumours going around that Conte is off to PSG. If it's true, then could Pogba follow him there? They seem not to care about FFP

There's no fresh rumours relating to Pogba at the moment.

 

The last I read rumour wise relating to him is that he is on Liverpool's shopping list along with Vidal and Rues which tells you all you need to know about silly season. 

 

I think if it was going to happen it would have happened already whilst he was in London but turns out he really was just on holiday. 

I dont think he lives Juve this year, next year with a year left on his contract is when he moves I feel.

Aside from the Chelsea Sources guy on twitter, now another guy now saying he is going to sign. This new guy seems to know his stuff. Seen that it could he announced Wednesday.

Griezmann won't be a massive step-up like those guys you mentioned, but he'd probably be on Hazard's level.

Don't see this happening personally would love to be proved wrong though. Great player to watch adds another physical presence to the side, great on the ball and is capable of the occasional screamer. However has a tendency to go missing on occasion but a lot of players do and he's still young.

Now the stumbling block - for the price I seriously doubt Mourinho would cough up especially with his recent comments about L.Shaw.

For some reason I still have a feeling we are going to get him. Just a hunch I guess. Would love to see him line up next to Matic and dominate this middle of the field.

By the way, not sure how we can compare him to Shaw. Pogba has been starring for the Italian champs for the last two years and Shaw has been a promising youngster at Southampton. Too very different situations. I think both valuations of the players are a bit inflated but at least Pogba has been on the big stage.

Maybe we will, but we might have to wait a year. If Pogba does not sign a new deal then it is highly unlikely Juve will keep him next season only for him to go on a free a year later.

I really like how Chelsea are going about their business. We can compete financially with any team but we choose not to. We're being very sensible in the market and this is impacting the club in a positive way overall.

The FFP appears to be a shambles atm but we are still respecting it so eventually when these clubs are sanctioned for their senseless expenditures we will essentially have free runs in the market.

We have a nice blend of players with high ceilings who we hope reach their potential and we have a good amount of players who are in their prime and are experienced serial winners. These are the foundations we need to allow us to make a marquee signing or two in the future.

For now I feel that our summer transfers are over unless any of the squad leaves and needs to be replaced. I would be more than happy going into the season with this current squad. Anymore signings are a bonus.

Out of those 3, I can only see barca that could be an option. I doubt he would want to go back to France, and madrid are pretty well covered in midfield.

I do think it's this summer, or not at all though. City and psg can't afford him at the moment, real and barca have already spent massive on rodriguez and suarez, and United don't have champions league football.

I think he'll end up at Real, they don't really have a player similar to him, and the most similar (Khedira) is linked with a move away, Xabi and possibly Di Maria won't be there much longer either so there will be room for him.

I can see that too, however it won't be til next summer. If pogba doesn't sign a new deal real will probably get for cheap. They could end up with kroos and pogba in midfield for under £50m

Saw something that negotiations between us and Juv have just started since Pogba won't sign a new deal. Chelsea won't pay anything over 55 mil.

I see pogba as a big city guy. I think Barcelona and madrid wouldn't do it for him. He was pictured in london recently and there's many reasons why he would choose a great city like london, with plenty of things to do and see, rather than learning a new language and going to cities that aren't as exciting.

Seems like everything is aligning for this one...

This doesn't mean of course that he may not be looked at again in January should it be the case that our midfield is not cutting it & by that stage, of course, the astronomical figures being bandied about for him at present will have come down significantly.

I wouldn't be too disappointed if he doesn't come, I agree we're well enough stocked and would probably prefer to watch Fabregas play more than I would Pogba next season.

 

Objectively speaking however I think we will get Pogba, he is a phenomenon that Jose lusts after and I don't think our club will be too keen to wait until next summer where the likes of Barcelona/Real Madrid may want and still have cash to burn on him, and where Manchester City/PSG will be fighting with the FFP gloves off.

 

Regarding his price coming down significantly - do you really think that is going to happen?
