Sepp Blatter's TV referral proposals

Bit too late to start sucking up with what the football world have been asking for years.

if it didn't create an extra stoppage in the game, I would be supportive of it. But I have no idea how it could be implemented without causing a stoppage in the game.

Maybe the fourth referee could watch the replay & tell the head official to change the call? Or maybe managers could only challenge calls that were made? Such as if they think there should have been a pk & it wasn't called then you could not review it. Only if you think it wasn't a penalty but it was called a penalty.

...he needed to do that to keep the camera's away from his dirty corrupt policy

Works in the NFL, but it is a sport where breaks are constant.  The NHL to my knowledge only has replays initiated by the refs.  The would have to put in specific situations where it could be applied (like offsides).

This would be used as a tactical weapon in the final minutes the same way late subs are used to break up play. In theory it would be good but I think in practice it would get annoying.

In the NFL, the final 2 minutes of the game only refs can call challenges.  So you could put in a clause that states in the last 10mins/extra time, no more manager challenges.

This Worm is Clutching at straws now that the net is closing in on him and the rest of the crooks at FIFA. He can see his luxurious meal ticket going through the shredder ....(with a bit of luck!!)

He is a complete loon...that inter planet World Cup talk...this guy should be getting medicated in an old folks home not running the game...

Thing is mate, he is that powerful, even if he was suffering from dementia, the baboons around him would still vote him back in charge.

I can see them wheeling him out in 2022 in Qatar in a solar powered mobility scooter.

For a man who has so strongly apposed the idea of introducing technology into football it's funny that he should suddenly be open to the idea when facing hefty criticism and calls to step down from the "racist" British media and various Football Associations around Europe.

Platini's sided against Blatter now... surely he's got to give up.

“I am supporting him no longer, it’s finished. I have known him for a long time, I like him, but I’m not favourable to him having another term,†he told L’Equipe. “I supported him in 1998, but I do not support in 2014. And in the future, I shall not support Blatter. I told him that. I think Fifa needs a breath of fresh air.

He is senile and useless. I really hope he goes soon - under him FIFA has been corrupt and ineffective. Having said that, just getting rid of him wouldn't solve the underlying problems. As AnIrishTrueBlue said, FIFA needs an overhaul from top to bottom.

I think one of the only positives Blatter has had was bringing the World Cup around the world. He was key in giving Asia and Africa their first World Cup and those were ballsy decisions.

On the whole his tenure has been ridiculous. The debacle surrounding Qatar is ridiculous.

Not likely.  The man is going to be crazy enough to go down swinging. He won't give up.
