September 5, 201411 yr Recently, I have seen the stats on United weekly wages for Di Maria, Van P. Rooney and Falcao. It comes to 1.2m a week. Lol. Are United buying 4th place with money? I remember when Chelsea or Citeh were accused of purchasing titles. Are United not doing the same these days if one call it that way?
September 5, 201411 yr Not sure if it's true but some people are saying that it is stipulated in Rooney's contract that he should be the highest paid in the team. Therefore with Rooney currently at 300K per week and with Falcao at 350K, Rooney will need to get a bump in pay. Hence United letting Welbeck, Chicha, Kagawa leave.
September 5, 201411 yr I am not sure what each of the players have incurred in their contracts, but I think Chicha, Danny, and Kagawa was let go because of being a surplus.
September 5, 201411 yr Falcao is on 350k a week?! No wonder he said it was a dream to play for them. Edited September 5, 201411 yr by enigma
September 5, 201411 yr Really wonder where Mata will be fit in the Man Utd system... hope he leaves the PL (or returns to us!) in January so I can go back to wishing him success.
September 5, 201411 yr Really wonder where Mata will be fit in the Man Utd system... hope he leaves the PL (or returns to us!) in January so I can go back to wishing him success. No idea, he doesnt seem to fit in now wit the players they have brought in. Maybe back home to Valencia to feel 'loved' again? Certainly wont be here as he is a luxury player as Jose clearly thought. Sad as I rated him above Oscar.
September 5, 201411 yr Yeah I know he won't come back here but I'd still have him back in a heartbeat. I like Oscar but the Special Juan was something else at times, crazy that he was deemed surplus - how awesome does that make our team?! He'll probably stay till the Summer but I can see PSG or Monaco making a bid if he's dropped for Di Maria, hope they do anyway.
September 5, 201411 yr Feel sorry for Mata, great bloke and a top talent. When everyone is fit he'll clearly be the fall guy at United, and its to no fault of his own. He was United's best player easily for the run in last season and hasn't been any worse than anyone else this season. It's purely a numbers game, and when that overrated, lazy and overpaid w*nker Rooney is involved there will only ever be one no.10 in that team. I always thought that Mata would leave England back for Spain in about 2015 but to be honest I can't see that happening any time soon; Iniesta is still at Barca and Real Madrid can't accommodate Mata in their squad nor style of play. They already have Isco backing up James Rodriguez in their own no.10 position, but Mata's not athletic enough for them. I'm not sure Simeone would have him either at Atletico as he can't press effectively. Maybe Juve or PSG make the most sense? Edited September 5, 201411 yr by Celery1989
September 5, 201411 yr Apparently Balotelli kicked a wolves player in the head in a reserve game??? What?
September 5, 201411 yr Dont know I just heard it on twitter. It was a closed doors game. Probably will be swept under the carpet then
September 5, 201411 yr Hate the international break. Same it's just dull, I even love watching other Premeir. League games but not a single international game interests me anymore

They will get nowhere near the titles.
September 5, 201411 yr Mbh, Just in case they might get to 4th? For Arsenal that's a title, maybe for Manures it could be an annual event?
September 5, 201411 yr Fwiw, I don't think they'll get fourth. It'll take longer than two seasons for Man Utd to recover. They have 'star' players but are they a coherent team?

It's really quite sad to see how he so quickly fell out of favour here, and has failed to make any real impact at Man U. I was really disappointed when we sold him and thought it was an awful decision at the time, but JM clearly saw things that we didn't. He seems a thoroughly decent bloke and I hope he can find a team that can bring out the best of him again.
