To be honest they're resting Sterling and to a lesser extent Johnson. I wouldn't use "rested" for the other two, a word close to "dropped" is a better fit.

But its the f**king champions league against the biggest team in the world. you would think that Liverpool, a team obsessed with history and doing things "the right way" would step up and present their best team on the biggest stages. I don't think they will win no matter what but that isn't really the point you know? You fight. You never know what can happen in this game. Maybe Balotelli has a blinder and scores a hat-trick. Maybe you set up a defensive game and try to hit them on the counter with Sterling. Maybe a Gerrard free-kick inspires a magical European night.....no let's just give up and hope we can maybe win on the weekend. It's pathetic but I don't know what I expected.

Now I am reading/hearing that there will be some Rodgers out banners flying over klanfield on Sat. I thought one never walks alone at that club. BTW here in the States, they are really pumping up lpuke & how they will seek revenge vs CFC. Even had a special 1on1 w/ stevie g. How he has won everything but the prem & that CFC took his heart. There's a serious side to this inasmuch as pride will be important. You'd like to think that, no matter what the odds, your team will turn up and fight. Liverpool are outclassed this evening but they can at least fight it out, you'd hope.
