November 23, 201411 yr Don't you just hate the weekends when you have to wait until Monday night to see a top four team live on the telly. Underwhelmed by the mid and lower table mediocrity on offer.
November 23, 201411 yr Everyone apart from Chelsea looks mediocre. Liverpool cannot even work over a bottom team, United clash against Arsenal, nothing to write home about, Citeh were lucky & the rest are jokers. By December Chelsea will lead these pretenders by 12 - 15 points. yep, if we can keep our focus and avoid catastrophic injuries this could be a very successful season

By December Chelsea will lead these pretenders by 12 - 15 points. What about Southampton or Newcastle? You are not really paying attention to the rest of the table. The Prem is solid from top to bottom. Every team will have their day in the Sunshine in this league. The Prem isn't La Liga w/ two teams on top & the rest are playing for scraps.
November 23, 201411 yr Southampton or Newcastle won't continue for a lot longer. By the end of December they are way behind Chelsea. Chelsea is running at 4th gear as of immediately. Wait for January, 5th gear is repositioned.
November 23, 201411 yr Piers Morgan is on 606 calling for Wenger to leave before he 'tarnishes his reputation'. Morgan wants Klopp.
November 23, 201411 yr but does Klopp want Morgan? lol good result today Spud - you were a bit fortunate with the red card but after that showed enough to merit a win. Still not convinced by half that Spurs team though maybe you'll be spending again in January.
November 23, 201411 yr It was good to win but we needed Hull to go down to ten men. That's my concern but a win's a win and I'll take that :-). Dortmund are bottom of the German Bundesthingy so Klopp might be available, if he wants a move?
November 23, 201411 yr Why should Piers Morgans opinion even be valid? Have you seen how hypocritical that man is, just a ponce and a sh*t house for that matter. He licks Wengers arse when they are winning and as soon as they lose a game he's crying, make your mind up. Also this is the man who said that he is happy Hazard didn't want to go to Arsenal because he is 'overrated'.
November 23, 201411 yr I just can't see Arsenal ditching Wenger. I could see Rodgers getting the heave-ho at Anfield and maybe Klopp turning up there.
November 23, 201411 yr I just can't see Arsenal ditching Wenger. I could see Rodgers getting the heave-ho at Anfield and maybe Klopp turning up there. Red and White Klopp?! Soz...
November 23, 201411 yr Also Piers Morgans is the man who said that he is happy Hazard didn't want to go to Arsenal because he is 'overrated'. He honestly believes this. Whenever Hazard does something spectacular, he states he does that in his backyard w/ his kids
November 23, 201411 yr Red and White Klopp?! Soz... best laugh I've had all day - even funnier than the Palace game...
November 23, 201411 yr Honestly think that if City drop three to six more points we've won the league. Incredible.
November 23, 201411 yr best laugh I've had all day - even funnier than the Palace game... I can't top that result! Rodgers sounded a beaten man after the game. He seems to be at risk, depending on who you listen to.
November 23, 201411 yr Rodgers is definitely being exposed by the lack of anything resembling last season's efforts - FSG are probably concluding, just like the rest of us, that he was carried by the Suarez factor last year. After all, the guy's management history is Watford, Reading, the Chelsea youth team and Swansea - how can he compete with Mourinho, Van Gaal or even Wenger? He's not in the same league. I'd hate to see him go though. If he can just carry on for a while longer Liverpool might even get a taste of life in the Championship.
November 23, 201411 yr Lol that's excellent! BTW does anybody know that row of Liverpoo jokes posted here a few years ago? It consisted of a number of jokes along the line of "why does the River Mersey run through Liverpoool? Because if it walked, it would be mugged". http://bleacherreport.com/articles/62485-10-hilarious-football-jokes-about-liverpoolThis may do for the time being, but a bit dated.
November 23, 201411 yr It's funny cause u remember my liverpool supporting friends saying we should get behind benitez, he's a world class manager and we're lucky to have him. Fast forward 2 years and same mates are saying they would rather stick with "brendan empty trophy cabinet rodgers", than go back to benitez's negative football. Personally hope benitez ends up back there so jose can get under skin.
November 23, 201411 yr I'd love it Southampton and Newcastle were in the top 4 at the end of the season but cant see it happening. United , Arsenal, Liverpool and probably City are going to be throwing around some serious money around in January Who knows, we might sign a player or two. I cant think of any position we need to strengthen in but you never know. Reus in for cash plus Schurrle is the only big transfer I could think of

They were already strufiling to comply with ffp, I can't see them being able to bring in the quality needed for them to finish top 4. Hopefully a slippery slope for the scousers.

November 23, 201411 yr I doubt liverpool have serious money to throw around. They were already strufiling to comply with ffp, I can't see them being able to bring in the quality needed for them to finish top 4. Hopefully a slippery slope for the scousers. In the summer break, only Utd spent more than Liverpool on players. I imagine Rodgers got the money on the argument that 'we need a few players to push on from our second place'. As that hasn't happened, and looks a long way off this season, further heavy investment seems unlikely. As you say, FFP is an issue plus, by Jan, the return that would justify more spending (i.e. a CL spot) will be out of sight for LFC.
November 23, 201411 yr 6 months ago people were comparing him to Shankly, Now Hodgson. Hodgson had a better points tally and I'm quite sure he didn't spend £100M.
