April 17, 201511 yr Yeah, Bayern's head doctor, who is 72 and has been doing that job at Bayern for 38 years has resigned. Confirmed: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32347136 Thank God we have Eva! Wow so cause Guardiola is a complete twat who doesn't know how to treat his co workers that guy has quit? f**king disgusting, Guardiola is a scumbag. Makes me laugh how he acts like he's all high and mighty, above Jose etc when Jose treats his co workers with respect. I really am glad Guardiola never came here. April 17, 201511 yr http://m.skysports.com/article/sports//9809506 Kompany out for the season possibly, whilst I don't think he's been great this season. For City to close the season out without him could be very tough, especially as Mangala doesn't look up to it. Liverpool might just fancy their chances.
April 17, 201511 yr Be comical if City missed out on CL football. I actually think it would be better if they did, even if Liverpool were the team to pip them. At least we know Liverpool can't attract certain players and they certainly couldn't cope with CL football.
April 17, 201511 yr Yeah it would definitely be better for us. With FFP breathing down their necks because of past incidents they will be hamstrung with no CL income and won’t have the means to rebuild a badly decayed side. Liverpool are insufferable and it would be annoying to see those ambulance chasers pretend they are in the elite again but in terms of a threat to us Liverpool can’t hold a candle to City.
April 17, 201511 yr Pep is like wenger...can do no wrong...remember the outrage when wenger pushed jose earlier in the season? no, thought not... I got into a similar debate as Bobby with someone over how pep still has a lot to prove and never built anything of his own...the reply was well same could be said for Jose... as I reeled off how he turned Porto into uefa cup, then cl winners (on top of domestic success), made key signings and massive impact to turn us from nearly men to serial winners (inc long after he left), taking Inter to CL (I accept that mancini already made them serie a champions so not much of a feat to win it again, but CL was big triumph), plus rebuild a second chelsea side hopefully about to win title now, he still wasn;t having it...the only place you could say it was gifted on a plate was madrid and even then he was up against best barca side in history. it's laughable when people allow bitterness and jealousy to get in the way of facts also a little known fact is that during joses stay at inter, his net spend was about 0
April 17, 201511 yr Does anyone else think the whole sports science thing has put more on this 'tiredness' thing than what it actually is? I think it has become much more of a problem recently than what it used to be. I think it's more of a mentality thing, if a player hasn't continued his great form during the season and takes a dip and you say he's "tired" then he's going to believe he is tired. It's like a trend now, you tell a player he is tired he will believe it, I think it's more of a mental thing than an actual physical thing. I could be way off here but I feel like that this is just a recent thing now, never really used to be like this.
April 17, 201511 yr He's made Bayern a far less effective team since taking over and they are no where near as good on they eye as they were before he joined up. Hope City get him. I really don't think heyckness (or however you spell it) they would have carried that form on for next season. It was his last season, Bayern wanted to get revenge for losing the league, and two cup finals to us and Dortmund, going out embarrassingly in both. Had a lot of players in there primes, that sort of thing. Guardiola is for the long term, he isn't going to leave anytime soon I know that much.
April 17, 201511 yr also a little known fact is that during joses stay at inter, his net spend was about 0 and that his transfer dealing in Porto resulted in massive profits for the club

April 17, 201511 yr Mangala has actually looked better than Kompany in the past month, not that that's a great achievement in itself. He was shocking against United though
April 17, 201511 yr Is anyone else thinking Villa are going to woop Liverpool, I'm feeling it. If Reading beat Arsenal then I'd love that but if Arsenal win I'd rather Liverpool won as I think that would be a better final.
April 17, 201511 yr If Reading beat Arsenal then I'd love that but if Arsenal win I'd rather Liverpool won as I think that would be a better final. Agree, I just think Villa have more chance of beating Lpool than Reading beating Arsenal, but you never know !
April 17, 201511 yr I think Mangala is going to take some time to settle, he looked a top centreback at Porto, if he gets used to this league he can become good. However he has been dreadful almost everytime I have seen him play this season, so it could just be a sign of a very bad buy.
April 17, 201511 yr Zouma cost three or four times less than Mangala, is four years younger, yet looks twice the player. Edited April 17, 201511 yr by RichardCFC
April 17, 201511 yr I like Zouma, but he needs a good partner I think, he is going to do well next to someone like JT but I don't think he is the man to replace JT. I don't think he has that awareness or organisation JT has. Zouma seems rash but he's good at it, he has potential to be much better than Gary Cahill and even though Gary Cahill is under valued by some on here he is still a top class centreback.
April 17, 201511 yr Agree, I just think Villa have more chance of beating Lpool than Reading beating Arsenal, but you never know ! I agree with you there, although imagine if Villa got to the final and beat Arsenal. That would be amazing
April 17, 201511 yr I agree with you there, although imagine if Villa got to the final and beat Arsenal. That would be amazing I would build a shrine to Tim Sherwood himself, or just watch every new episode of Jeremy Kyle to improve its ratings, which ever one pleases him. I could be way off here but I feel like that this is just a recent thing now, never really used to be like this. I agree. I don't get the tiredness argument. Top sides play more games each season than used to be the case but there are proper gaps between games and less time is spent travelling than was once the case (i.e. transport is now quicker). Football games still last for 90 minutes and are played on better quality pitches that are generally easier to play on. Footballs and kit are lighter. Boots are much lighter. Players don't train constantly - they can't as they'd break down. Part time players work Monday to Friday and then play. Pros used to do the same back in the day, or even play more than one sport.
April 17, 201511 yr Kalas and Bamford starting tonight against Norwich. massive game for both sides. Boro need to win this, they've lost to many of these games this season

I really do think your mind plays on it, you're always going to have a dip of form when you're playing a lot of games and if you tell a player is tired he will think he is tired. How many consecutive games did Lampard play again? Under Mourinho back in 05, he wasn't exaclty known for being a really fit and healthy footballer either. Zanetti was playing every game in his late 30's also in the fullback position.
