April 15, 201511 yr Pep Guardiola the magic man Its all good beating Hoffenheim and Augsburg week in week out as Bayern Munich manager or thumping Getafe and Celta Vigo as Barca manager come to England and prove your stripes like Mourinho has The guy is still unproven as an elite coach as far as I'm concerned...takes over best barca side ever and then Bayern side fresh after winning treble...when has he built a side of his own? I'm glad we didn't get him as chelsea manager...reckon he'd have gone a bit like avb and been a costly mistake Edited April 15, 201511 yr by The Brit
April 15, 201511 yr Good win for Porto but I still think Bayern will progress The 2nd leg will be very interesting. I hope Porto can hold on and go through.
April 15, 201511 yr Behaving like he did when we always gave him massive amounts of support has destroyed any legacy he might have had. Not sure I can remember a footballer behaving like such a twat when returning to a club that loved him. Yeah I don't care what anyone says he can f**k right off as far as I'm concerned.
April 15, 201511 yr Happy about tonight, the sharks came out to play. Always thought Pep putting defenders on the half way line was stupid, glad he caught an ass kicking. PSG and sh*tty Cavani are ovverated and I see Barcelona demolishing everything in their path.
April 15, 201511 yr Classic David Luiz there. Hey, PSG, I hope you have the next installment for his fee ready. No backsies now! Great hair, though, really flowing.
April 15, 201511 yr The 2nd leg will be very interesting. I hope Porto can hold on and go through. Me too but I just can't see it. Maybe if they can score the first goal.
April 15, 201511 yr The 2nd leg will be very interesting. I hope Porto can hold on and go through. Can't see it myself with both Sandro and Danilo out. It's not a team meant for sitting back either so it's not like they could park the bus.
April 15, 201511 yr So Klopp is on the market. A likeable, interesting and talented character. I suppose there's a chance he may go to Real or Barca, depending on whether there's a vacancy, but he's more likely to end up in England. Chelsea? No. Utd? No. Liverpool? No. Arsenal? No. City? Looks like they're giving Pellegrino another year and waiting for Pep, so no. Tottenham? If I were Daniel Levy I'd be straight on the phone to him. I reckon he might just fancy the challenge. Tottenham are a big club, they'll be moving into their new ground in a few seasons, and they aspire to play in the CL. This is their opportunity I reckon, to sell the club to him, pay him top dollar, and promise him funds. They are owned by one of the richest men on the planet. It should be a no-brainer for them. The timing is just right, they may never get an opportunity like this again. If it happens you can all blame me because it was my idea.

April 15, 201511 yr Pep has never managed a top flight team that had not won the CL within at least 2 years prior to his arrival. Something tells me he doesnt come to the BPL unless one of the BPL clubs become the best team in Europe. Pep doesn't do project that aren't already successful thanks to another managers work.
April 15, 201511 yr If the Engineer is still at City next season it can only be by default as they can't find anyone better to replace him with, which is saying something.
April 15, 201511 yr Pep Guardiola the magic man Its all good beating Hoffenheim and Augsburg week in week out as Bayern Munich manager or thumping Getafe and Celta Vigo as Barca manager come to England and prove your stripes like Mourinho has (edit: this is in wake of us knocking Barca out in 2012 with 10 men away when Pep was manager, Munich getting embarrassed last season against Madrid on 5-0 aggregate last season and Porto beating Munich 3-1 tonight) i said same about klopp earlier today and just got shot down. lulz
April 15, 201511 yr cant believe there are still people out there who dont consider suarez an elite striker that 3rd goal, my god . . . I love how he puts it in the top corner just because.
April 15, 201511 yr saurez would be amazingly crap if he couldn't score in that team! the rat facker! Edited April 15, 201511 yr by Bigthrobberus
April 16, 201511 yr This is why David Luiz isn't good enough for us, 2 really poor pieces of defending. Think the globe views that opinion now. Some friends who don't even follow the sport here in the States have texted me YouTube clips of Luiz looking foolish. Of course they're all about the Suarez nutmeg moves but some are so in disbelief of Luiz's silliness they think the sport is rigged. To quote one, "this is a totally rigged sport, that defender just let him walk through! Pathetic!" Obviously that is not the case but to have people who don't watch the sport at all saying this speaks loudly.

Obviously that is not the case but to have people who don't watch the sport at all saying this speaks loudly. If Luiz had actually made any sort of attempt to track back after being nutmegged, it wouldn't have looked quite as pathetic. Now he just slowly strolls on and watches the ball as it hits the net. I know it probably would've been futile to try and catch Suarez, but at least it would've looked like he didn't give up the moment the ball was put past him.

Must consider he had a hamstring injury and was then thrown in when Silva went off.
April 16, 201511 yr I've just seen the second Suarez goal, great bit of play and a superb finish but David Luiz was awful on both the goals. Injured/unfit or what there's no excuse for that, to get nutmegged once maybe but twice in the same game. Awful defender, can't argue the lad is talented but he lacks the discipline to be a world class centre half. Still can't believe PSG gave us £50 mil for him.

He's played well for PSG in their league by all accounts and has been playing well in the CL too before this match so I don't think the injury is an excuse.
