They played us at a good time, when we were way off form and confidence...never thought we would win cl this season and they were stupid to think they could after knocking us out on away goals...biggest winners of the tie though were barca...they would have shat themselves playing against us

Verratti was a big factor though, he fouled our players in both legs without getting a yellow for such a long time which broke up a lot of attacks.

No worries, it's almost shopping season and Dortmund is right around the corner.

Always gutted to get knocked out of the CL but to be honest, I was soon over it and am now actually glad we don't have two matches against Barca in between some very difficult PL fixtures. We should win the PL (fingers crossed and all that) but with the injuries and apparent weariness of the side recently, those extra games this season, with a fairly thin squad, could have caused us big problems.

Neuer would have been in trouble there, if Charlie Adam played for Porto that is.

Cavani isn't as good as some make out, he always fails to impress in these big games.

I agree...we have been looking knackered for weeks and while I never want to see us lose in any competition, the premier league is the priority this season...next year is a different matter...

As for this game, it's pretty mediocre to say the least
