I think it's a great idea to mirror the Champions League ties with games between the competing clubs' youth teams.  It'll be really interesting to see how well our guys can do.

Fantastic goal. Great to see loftus-cheek show signs of progression, I haven't been impressed with what I've seen so far. He will be such a physically imposing player, just needs to make sure he has the technical, and tactical ability to match.

How does it work though? Do they mirror the main comp all the way, or just for the group stages and then whoever goes through, goes through?

Just mirror the group stage. UEFA used the same format last season after canceling the Next Gen series.

Won 2-0, created plenty of chances 1st half but 2nd was disappointing.

Disappointing, given previous results in this group I thought double figures was a cert. Credit to Maribor I guess.

Unfortunately it looked like several of our players expected that too Adam, just no zip or energy.

Solanke's absence probably didn't help either. Must have had better things to do.

Great win today, thought Christensen looks like the standout in the team, although well done to all the lads and Ady Viveash.

As well as JT , Paolo was there and Ross Turnbull, nice to see.

Pretty cool that Steve Holland was there wearing his slippers.

Quick heads up, our youth semi final away to Roma is live on Eurosport 1 today at 4.15pm today.

There appears to be a hell of a lot of blue in the crowd on the far side.

Yeah surprised by how much support we have. Excellent first half, should have been a couple up, and a blatant penalty turned down in Europe, no surprise.
