Don't forget Jedi is both singular and plural.

Actually... Some of the "foreign" Star Wars campaigns seem to suggest that it's a plural.

You're all bloody foreigners to me:wink:

Bloody aliens, some of them!!

So, @Maksimov, what's the singular of Jedi?  Jedus????

Assuming it gets the Latin treatment, it must be. But is Latin used in galaxies far, far away?

I should warn you that there are probably hundreds of non-football threads on this forum, so you're gonna have a busy night posting a complaint on all of them. :happy001:

I've just seen the worst Star Wars film to date. I know the prequels get a lot of hate, but this one takes things to a different level. Honestly, it didn't even feel much like a Star Wars movie to me, and that is just a small part of the problem with this film.

Looking around the cinema as the lights came back on said a lot about what other people thought too. Either they were tired, or they found that movie to be very underwhelming. You could even catch the odd "disappointing", "underwhelmed" and even "rubbish" comment too.

Also, something happened in this film that i will never be able to accept ( well, there were a few things, but one in particular was something i have been against since they announced new Star Wars films ) i won't say because it will spoil things, but it's ruined quite a few things about Star Wars for me.

+1

"Luke, I am your father". These are the words that DEFINE star wars. Its not the light saber duel between Kylo and Rey or between anakin and obi-wan or between maul and Obi-wan/Qui-Gon. Its those words. The scene was iconic.

What is it with the Steppenwolfs/Ultrons/Snokes of today. No depth, no development, no motive. They just exist. An expendable character to be thrown off towards the end. Vader was/is awesome because of the incredible depth to the character. These are just CGI'ed characters who will NEVER mean anything.

So pissed at the movie. Some of the fan theories regarding Snoke would have been way better than the meaningless drivel shown.

I'm a bit late to the party but I saw it today... It was terrible.

I was actually bored, in the prequels as bad as bits were,  they never had me this bored.

What was the point of the casino plotline other than to waste huge amounts of screetime and make an out of place comment about capitalism being bad? Why was the base plan kept secret (except to hammer in the weird "men are always putting women down!" theme of most of the film)? You'd think people in constant fear for their lives would kinda like to know that they weren't just flying hopelessly. Why big up Snoke then make him completely underwhelming? What was with the terrible tone deaf attempts at humour scattered throughout the film? They we at bet met with a slight chuckle amongst a few people in my theatre but lots of them resulted in a deathly silence (what were they thinking with that milk scene?). Why bother with fighters and big giant ships when you can just put a hyperdrive on a rock and destroy any vessel?

And of course the biggest question the film raises:

Why would I want to watch episode 9 now? There're are no interesting plot points to resolve, space battles seem pointless now and there is a complete lack of charisma in the cast for me to care about.

Saw it last week and absolutely hated it. Went with two friends and we just walked out silently not wanting to be the first to be negative but once my mate spoke out we just started ranting about how utterly sh*te it is. As abigsmurf said, there's absolutely no reason to bother with the next one now. I just hope the Han Solo and Bobba Fett films are as good as Rogue One was.
