Always seemed a shifty c**t so can't say that surprises me. Would hope we don't give him his move to Real Madrid and sell to Atletico, use whatever we can get for him to bring in Oblak.

Chelsea have definitely broken off negotiations for Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper is of interest to both Real Madrid and Liverpool. The Blues must sell Courtois right away or risk losing him for nothing. Alisson is the first name on their list. (via @DiMarzio) #CFC #LFC #RMCF

 

Cant say it’s a surprise. He has been looking to leave and is clearly not resigning.

I suspected this would happen when he said he was staying another year. Trying to get a bigger bonus by leaving on a free transfer it seems. I do worry that Hazard and a few other players will look to leave whilst we are in limbo like we are right now.

Hazard said in one interview on the pitch I believe he was waiting for tibo to sign before he did. Tongue and cheek I reckon but could hold some truth.

If tibo wants to go that is his right but we need to sell asap to get a decent value. With 1 year only left though it will be half what it would have been with 2. Probably 25 to 30mill.

Wouldn't say no to Butland but I think we'd need to bring in another keeper of similar quality, maybe Trapp at PSG.

Not surprised. Di Marzio says we'll sell him this summer so we don't lose him for free next.

Butland would not be a good enough replacement in any case. It's a lot easier to look like a great keeper for poor teams.
See Mignolet, Begovic, Ross Turnbull and so on.

Reckon we'll sign either Butland, Areola, or Tomas Koubek. Can't see us spending £70m+ on Alisson or Oblak.

If he ain't signing he needs to go as quickly as fabinho did.

Don't believe the interest from Real is as much as people believe, they got an under rated GK who won them 3 CL, and making loads of huge saves, then there's the rumour Real may be into Allisson from Roma. I don't think Courtois is an upgrade over Navas based on form in the past 12 months, if Real really fancy a GK, they'd do a swap deal for De Gea. I think he will ended up staying if the new manager and couple of big signings come in.
