Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?

Featured Replies

Ive been saying this about the pens for a while.

Ever since the hull game where we there was a few diving incidents, we haven't had a penalty. Ive been confident we would go on and win title, but 2 of the worse refereeing decisions all season, have cost us 4 points at soton, and yesterday.

If the poor officiating does continue, then I'm not sure we are playing well enough to see he job through.

I thought after fabregas got booked for diving, it would lead to us getting a few soft pens in the following weeks, but it's been just as bad. Hopefully this will be the catalyst for some calls going in our favour. Because the integrity of the league will come into question if we are on the receiving end of another dis play like yesterday.

Some f**king prick called Prof Ellis Cashmore from Aston University has just been interviewed on BBC News and was calling for Chelsea to be thrown out of Europe. When it was put to him that punishing thousands of fans for the actions of a couple of rogue fans was disproportionate, he said that it isn't just a few fans. So they are pretty much happy to label me and all Chelsea fans as racists now. He also believes that CFC are responsible for the actions of all it's fans at any time any where. Un f**king believable. I'd like it see his reaction if I was to put on an Aston University hoodie and assault a black person and have it filmed and sent to the press. I guess he'd be happy to have all their funding withdrawn as obviously every student at the university should share the responsibility for one persons actions.

I know I'll get all the tin hat sh*t thrown at me but I can't help but wonder if yesterday's debacle was in any way related to the events of last Tuesday. It's like the Guardian piece that says the shove of Costa was not as strong as one needed to prevent someone getting on a train. Like it or not there is no separation between Chelsea's on field activities and what happens off the field. They're all f**kers and can suck my f**king balls. I don't feel at all optimistic but if we somehow manage to win the title this year it will be the finest title victory ever, by anyone. It'll warrant Churchill style speeches.

If we win the league it'll be against all the odds. I can't recall us getting the rub of the green in many games this season. That inreasingly looks like a result of deliberate actions by officials to deny us legitimate advantages in games - particularly evident around penalty decisions.it reaaly does feel like us versus everyone else

That's what I posted once in one of the threads here. I felt injustice, it was chelsea against everyone else, but everyone were telling me that I was going over the top and that I was over reacting to things, but I'm glad everyone is realising and feeling it now.

I hope all this doesn't cost us the title :(

That guy is a f**king idiot and that Guardian piece really pissed me off. You would NEVER see any other team get that kind of thing said about them from the Guardian.

I'm f**king sick of it.

I don't know about campaign. Let's be honest we've also had things go our way and today they went against us. I just wish we could create and take our chances so we don't have to moan about penalties. We are good enough to win just with goals from open play.

Look at Barca in 2009 with 3 clear penalties not given but how many clear cut chances did Drogba have to win the game??? Put the chances away and penalties are irrelevant.

AS we are being honest, could you list a few discissions that when our way, Thanks.

List the things that have went our way, seriously I want to compare, because I know for a fine fact we have had much more against us than for us.

We got away with the Ramires incident against PSG, that's the only thing I can think of as of 2015.

I am not saying we wouldn't deserve the penalties. We should get them by the law.

But the implementation of the law is somewhat faulty and has been all season. Our experience thus far is that we get somewhat 1 in 5 penalties (just look at the numbers in the thread penalties given/not given, and it's roughly 1 in 5).

I am not saying we shouldn't blame the referee, but if we want a penalty we should produce something like 5 penalty-worthy incidents and expect one to be given.

We as a fans can be angry with the referee and the oponnent etc., but JM shouldn't rely on that because if he does we won't get far.

What Jose should rely on is honest discissions from a fair and honest ref, not myopic guess work by an incompetent ref.

The FA were quick to charge Costa. 10am on the Sunday to be precise. No move on Barnes yet, really is obvious.

Thought the game was played on a Tuesday evening, correct me if I am wrong.

Personally it's time to think The Blues will not get the decisions - I have played on sides like that in my pub league - it's hard to do & take a lot of mental fortitude

What does it matter if Drogba missed 100 chances? That's a red herring here. They were clear penalties and they should have been given. A penalty is a better chance of scoring than most chances created in open play and they do change games. A penalty yesterday when we were 1-0 up likely puts Burnley out of the game and Matic's sending off becomes irrelevant. Look what a lot of timely penalties did for Liverpool last season.

An absolute disgrace! If the FA dont punish Barnes then I'm not sure what we can do. There isnt much public sympathy for the club at the moment and rightly so. So, there really is no pressure on the FA. The only thing we can do is just get on it with it and keep winning trophies.

They'll punish Barnes 100% , he'll then miss the game against City. Unless they recede the Matic red card we gain nothing by the incident now, whilst others profit from the dirty twat missing from their lineup.

Is it me? This makes no sense.

Something is going on where the referees are concerned, seems to me they are a lot harsher on us than anyone else

At first I was really sceptical about conspiracy etc., but it hasn't gone away. Recently I'm wondering if it's a north south thing and am trying to figure who is where, where is the money, what are the connections. Two southern teams in two days...

I'm wondering if it's more to do with what Jose has said before about referees. Also add to that we're really not liked and it's not to far fetched to think some referees would be harsher towards us.

True enough I guess. He was complimentary towards them today, but even Kazakhstan is trying to clean up football! They've acknowledged there's a problem whereas here the suggestion is a club seeing a campaign.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of some of our boardrooms at the moment.

He's said nothing worse than Fergie used to on a regular basis, and they were all scared sh*tless of him.

Not to throw more fuel on the fire, but will the fa investigate vertonghen pushing the wet spam player? I didn't watch the match so I don't know if he got punished on the field. I only read about this on twitter. Also Big Sam wasn't too pleased either
