I f****** hate Tottenham

Featured Replies

The thing about the 5-3 is that practically everything went right for them in that game.  Every shot went right in the corner.  Every good chance was converted and Harry Kane had an inspired game.  People forget that we had some really good opportunities that game and if we'd have been as clinical as them we would have won.  Hell even Liverpool played better against us in the League cup first leg and yet that was 0-0.

Those kind of games where everything goes right are few and far between.  Let's see what happens in the final.

I find it impossible to hate Tottenham any more - I would feel too guilty about Spudulike!  But as soon as he sees the Blue Light and comes over to the Boys in Blue, I will add my venom to yours!

Yep, really should have been 2 goals clear before they scored their first. They had 11 shots and we had 19 yet everything they hit seem to be spot on. They played the perfect game and still conceded 3 goals as well.

I admit to hating L*v*rp**l more. Plus I'm convinced Spuddie is really Liam.

Always hate them when we play but usually I’m not fussed but that’s due to Spuds being a bit irrelevant in terms of challenging us for things.

Can’t wait for the cup final, we owe them a beating after the last cup final.

I agree with Moi regarding Spuddy. Here is an opposite example in terms of likeability and gender. (Wasn't going to post this, but it seems to fit now.)

Yesterday afternoon the Duchess and I popped into a local supermarket. We walked and as it was getting on for fourish and a bit chilly we dressed accordingly, the Duchess donning a casual hat, a chrimbo gift. We realised our timing error seeing school children clambering over the freshly baked pastries and biscuits baskets. We could also hear a harridan screeching at her children, sometimes interjected with an attempt at 'normal' parental interaction.

We decided to part and meet at the till. I was at the till first and the lady was in front of me, she pushed her small child aside, with too much force for me (years ago I would have said something, but not these days) and proceeded to shout, ' If you carry on you won't have the toy, the chocolate...' she then shouted every item in her basket. Everyone turned and looked at her, but she didn't seem to care.

Things settled and then a moment or so later the Duchess joined me saying, 'did you hear that harridan screeching at her kids?' Before I could say a word the woman in front of me turned and glared. It was then I saw the beany hat she was wearing was none other than a Spurs one. She locked eyes with the Duchess, looked up slightly to notice the duchess' Chelsea hat, she turned away without a word. I need to mention that you can't miss the duchess' hat as it is a sparkly Chelsea beany hat made by a friend of hers.

While walking home and out of earshot the Duchess said, 'Spurs fan, typical'. The thing is the Duchess knows absolutely nothing about football.

If I'm being honest, they have been completely irrelevant for me in the past. And we have beaten them so many times I don't hate them a great deal. I mean they have sh*t house fans, the way they come on here after that win was so liverpoolish but I would have them over Arsenal getting top 4 any day. Although I would mainly like revenge not just for the 5-3 defeat but the league cup final last time. Let it be Drogs to score the goal late this time, I think he is definitely going to be up for that one regardless of how little time he will get.

Sorry, couldn't read the use of the word 'Duchess' without thinking.

By the way, a missus in a Chelsea hat who slags off Spurs supporters... ::clap2::

Just to get back to the thread, this was in my first season of going to Chelsea regularly and is still one of the greatest matches I've seen. Mal Donaghy scoring a goal just makes me laugh everytime.

But I have a deep, dark secret about Spurs and I. It haunts me to this day.

...You were a Spud in a previous life?

No never, but my first ever football match was a Spurs game. Even at that age it was a corporate affair though and I wore a Chelsea scarf. Met Gazza too.

The funny thing is that a friend of mine was in the box for the Arsenal game and said they were tatty. Sent me a picture and the f**king things haven't changed in about 20-odd years. They're the rubbish ones where you're sat behind glass the entire time instead of being able to actually sit outside, so it's like a zoo except they keep the animals out.

That was a great game. Haven't watched the clip as busy at work, but is that the one where they took the lead, we came back, they missed a penalty and then Steino scored a late penalty? Brilliant. The more recent 4-4 was great as well when Joey Cole had one of his best ever games for us.

You are not the only one with a deep Spurs secret. There is a photo somewhere of me, my brother and my cousin when we were all kids on Christmas day way back, all donning Sp*rs shirts which our Nan had bought us. It's enough to ruin a kid for life!

Sounds just like WHL then overall, stuck in the 80's, just like a decent amount of their fans as well it seems.

There's so many great Spurs matches. There's the one where we done them 6-1 at their place. Think Flo got a hat-trick and Mark Nicholls scored.

Remember some woman in the box trying to put a Spurs scarf on me which my dad took off immediately.

The only thing that's changed about that ground is the smell of smoke.

Hate is too strong a word for me. I get a little more pleasure when we beat them, compared to other teams, but I don't hate them.
