I think it's a bit of a stretch to say he lied tbh.

I'm not his biggest fan and do think he needs to get his head down and improve or else he needs replaced but there's no doubt Oscar in the first half of the season is ten times the player Moses is.

It's just a shame he fades out after the festive period.

Personally I prefer Oscar in middle as I think he has more end product than Willian. 

 

We struggle for goals from our midfielders and I think taking out one of the players who is more prone to scoring goals could be risky. 

He does have a better end product you're right and his link up play at times is a joy to watch, but it's Willians speed in transition and picking up the ball deep that makes him so good in my opinion

I am ANGRY at Oscar! I am so red eyed LIVID at Oscar, you cannot even understand. This is a guy i supported against Mata. Many Mata fans were upset 2 seasons ago and told me that Mata was better and that Jose is making a mistake! I supported Oscar and said Oscar was performing better and we all had to get behind him. As soon as Mata was sold, what did this "thing" do? He stopped playing! This thing screwed us over two years ago and once again last season. Thank God for Cesc and Willian, or else we would have ended the season without a trophy again!

I am all for open debates on the internet but to even suggest moses is a better player than Oscar is quite ludicrous. There's a reason Moses was shipped out on loan the last 2 years and Oscar has started like 90% of games for us.

Are you seriously referring to another human being who has done nothing to you besides, in your opinion, play subpar football a "thing"? Like really? What are you like 10? What I personally felt the issue was with Mata not being a first pick for Jose's team is that when he was playing, often wide right, is that it felt like a case of square peg, round hole. When he played you could see he was making an effort to track back and make tackles but the attacking third is where he was always going to be contributing the most and I think it is telling that he hasn't scored a league goal this season, he's been playing very much like a player with his wings clipped and we was only ever going to see the best out of him if he had played through the middle where Oscar is preferred. Rightly or wrongly Jose feels that Oscar is the man to play in the middle for his team and after the years of chopping and changing managers I think we have to entrust Mourinho to make the calls that he thinks are going to be for the benefit of the team, he appears to have been given more say and control in player recruitment than any manager has had since he left the club and I think this is a good thing because for too long the squad has been poorly balanced with player recruitment focused on the wrong areas of the team.

 

Long answer short, Jose felt that Oscar better suited the system he was employing which doesn't necessarily mean that Oscar is the better individual player. End of the day however the team/system is more important than the individual.
