Arsenal v. Chelsea (PL) 26/04/2015 KO: 16:00 GMT

Featured Replies

Thought we were magnificent.

We mustn't underestimate the performance today.

Arsenal were on their best run for a decade, they were at home, they were buoyed by the result at Everton earlier, and they needed a win to have a shot at the title.

They couldn't do it, they didn't even come close.

We were disciplined, we were committed, we played with intelligence.

We were suffering injuries, yet, we had the best chances and we should have had at least one pen, maybe three.

JT is a hero, there is no other way to describe it. He's the best centre-half I have seen in my lifetime. He's the best captain we will ever have. Ever.

All our players were brilliant but Willian deserves a special mention.

He carried the game to them, he ran up and down, he was skilful and good in possession, and he created the chance for Ramires with an exquisite pass.

Brilliant performance today and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Arsenal may be a team of bottlers. We never are.

Great post Davey. Couldn't have put it any better.

Ian Wright on BBC 5Live thinks the ref made the right call for the decision on Oscar. Ok, fair enough, he's entitled to his opinion..............but his reason why he thinks the ref was right not to give it is laughable. He thinks that because Oscar got to the ball first, a penalty shouldn't be given. Uhh, hold on, if Oscar get's to the ball first and is then taken out, that isn't a penalty ??? That makes no sense.

If the attacker get's to the ball first and is then taken out, IT IS ALWAYS A PENALTY !!!! Is Ian Wright thick or something ?

Other way around he'd have said it was a pen, he's just a nob head Gooner.

So f**king stupid it actually hurts. There's no way that's not a penalty.

Carragher/Souness watch Liverpool lose the title and they manage to do their jobs professionally, Neville watches United getting embarrassed live and he does it well. It's always the gooners that tremble with anger and defend them illogically.

So in Ian Wright's opinion this wouldn't be a penalty? (wasn't given either!)

Mourinho revealed Drogbs hasn't trained with the first team all week. Played 90 minutes. I know he didn't have the best of games but at the age of 36, lacking match fitness & playing against one of the better teams in the league... I think he did well. Played the full match last week too against one of the best.... I'd be dead chuffed if he got a winner's medal this season.

Watched the game in my local pub. There were more Arsenal fans than Chelsea fans but I've always thought it's quality and not quantity. Obviously a win would have been lovely but am content with a draw. Roll on Leicester and Palace.

Magnificent result that, Leicester will be a challenge I reckon, probably more so than this game. So that's how many points until we win the league? Anyway delighted with the season, it has gone well so far.

Even when we dipped in form we still managed to grind out wins, that's what makes us winners. No matter what fashion we win in, we would still get moaned at, we win games 5-0 every game it will be because we bought the league, or that you can do anything like that if you spend enough money.

Let them complain, let them get mad, we will win things, f**k them.

Top result. Leicester is going to be a class trip on Wednesday. 'Boring boring Chelsea'. Having one shot on target in two whole games against us this season is boring you bitter twats!

Champions.

Shortly before Jose said Drogba wasn't at full fitness. JT's only two years younger, scary.

He didn't play 90 minutes though. He came on at half time.

I thought he played the same as he played most of this season - like a shadow of his former self. He won the odd aerial challenge but that was about it.

I hope he wins a medal too. Would be a great send off.

Boring, boring Chelsea?

10 points clear at the top.

Honestly couldn't give a sh*t about our perceived negativity. Hate is just a form of jealousy. Jealous that not one side has come close to challenging us all season.

Last 5 Arsenal v Chelsea games - goals scored

Arsenal 0

Chelsea 10

Boring? Naaaahhhh..

HAHAHAHAHA. My bad! Doh.

Yeah I agree he's not the Drogba of old, but then again he is THE best player the continent of Africa has ever produced so it would be hard to replicate that.

Can't believe I thought he played the 90, wtf was I watching

The first half was so traumatic, brought about by Oliver, it has tampered with your memory, not your fault.

Great performance and big point towards the title, JT was unreal the man just gets better and better Jose saying it was his best performance under him I'm inclined to agree it was definatly up there! As for the boring boring Chelsea chants.. Oh yes it has been so boring winning trophy after trophy in recent years whilst the specialist in failure has won f**k all. On to Leicester now we owe them a drubbing hopefully we have Costa back fit for then! ::ChELSeAFaN::

The whole "boring boring chelsea" thing isn't even what really winds me up, despite being absolutely ridiculous, it's the "sit down Mourinho" chant.

I don't understand the purpose of it at all, or what they think it's supposed to acheive, it's not offensive, funny or inventive, it just highlights the underlying desire to have the greatest manager in the game at the moment on their side over a man whose captain paid £4 million of his own money to get the fu*k out.

Terrific result. Always a great day when we ruin the day for Gooners around the globe

Thought we played "open" football the first half. Too bad Ramires could not find a way in with that little poke from Willian in the first half.

Back line a solid as a rock again. JT played as if 10 years younger today. Absoultely love his emotion that comes through after the match. Jose has brought him the fountain of youth!

Just two more and it is no longer. "we are top of the league, we are top of the league", it is "we won the league, we won the league".

When does the BPL trophy get presented? Last home match (Sunderland) regardless of when it is won?

Shine up the buses lads, we are going to have a parade in late May

Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:

I agree with you, it is the most ridiculous chant ever. It is one thing to chant it when you are winning, but to do it when you are drawing or even when we are wining - it just shows to everyone that you are small-time.
