2015/2016 Chelsea Strip

Eton Blue at the Chelsea Megastore

Recommended Posts

I have time for the 93/94 Amiga kits as they were the first I ever had.

I recently re-purchased the home one with the red on it. Never wear it but just fancied owning it.

I don't like Adidas stripes or red on our kits (excluding the 94 home for sentimental reasons) so the ones leak for next year are fairly grim in my opinion.

Two of my favourites are from the same time. It's when I started attending matches so maybe it is just nostalgia but this yellow away was brilliant, which is why I like this seasons so much as well.

I remember seeing the reveal picture of it in the match day programme, I think Frank Sinclair was modelling it.

And the jersey we won the 1997 FA Cup with. Proper royal Chelsea blue, a smart collar on it and just a tiny bit of yellow piping on it.

Worn that one this year too. Not a massive fan of the material or the collar but it's a classic.

Used to love the old white and red striped Commodore one from 1992. Amazed how much they go for.

That yellow and black one above was oddly prescient though

Which funnily enough it very similar to Boro's away kit this year and when I say similar, I mean, exactly the f**king same.

Yes, they're exactly the same. Except that the other kit is blue stripes on dark blue background and the other is blue stripes on light grey background. The other kit has an Adidas logo in the middle of the chest and the other kit has it on the right. The other kit has dayglo trimmings on the ends of the sleeves and at the end of the three stripes and the other one doesn't. Other than that, I suppose they're exactly the same... :happy001:

Why won't Adidas listen to the people and give us what we all really want.

GRAPHITE AND MOTHERf**kING TANGERINE!!!

(or grey and orange if you must).

At least it's proper Chelsea blue but I do have a certain fondness for the old Umbro kits. Think the last two we had were two of the best kits we ever had. Also been wearing the old Autoglass one recently to matches.

If I could have one away kit remade it would be the Yellow and Black striped one from 1993-94 which I think we ended up rushing out because we had to play someone like Wednesday and the other two kits clashed.

Absolutely beautiful shirt and a bugger to get hold of.

2009/10 now there was a home shirt for the ages

Still wear mine to gym. Look like a cyclist

I still to this day don't understand the "breast plates".

Are they to hold my moobs in place so they don't jiggle when reaching for a beer?

You said they were "exactly the f**king same", which they aren't, so I don't know what prompted that lazy copy/paste picture reply. It's like saying the kit is literally sh*t, which it clearly isn't. In so many ways... :happy001:

If quibbling over linguistic semantics is how you get your rocks off when talking about football kits who am I comment.

It's not how I get my rocks off and it wasn't even about linguistic semantics. It was about the two kits not looking "exactly the f**king same". I'd seen the Boro shirt before and even with a side by side comparison, I didn't think they looked THAT much alike. I think it's the light grey compared to dark blue that is the biggest difference. And I didn't even mention that the Boro kit has much thinner stripes. You said they looked exactly the same, and I didn't think they did.
