A tough first half with tricky underfoot conditions. One half time team talk from Jose ,a few minor alterations and Goodbye Leicester.Willian was superb and the whole team stepped up second half.Cant wait for Sunday and celebrating up the Kings Rd after (fingers crossed )

Sorry lads- the league doesn't mean anything...Arsenal are the best team in Europe apparently :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

I love how he says they were 'challenging for the Premier League' when at no stage were they within anywhere near striking distance of us. 13 points, mind the gap Theo...

Yeah I posted this earlie, funny as or what? Deluded idiot.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the off topic question but who's DAVE? I don't understand who this defender is supposed to be. I don't see anyone named Dave on the roster. I'm quite puzzled... lol

Are you been serious? Can't tell lol

Dave is what a lot of fans call Apzilicuetta. It stems from been unsure how to pronounce his name. I just have always called him Apzi.

You have me to thank for that. We always play badly when I watch on tv at home. But I couldn't resist and paid my money to the Now TV people and watched the first half. But my internet crashed/froze/whatever for the whole of the second half. It is no coincidence that from what you are all saying, we were like a different team in the second half.

The bad news is, I've already paid for Sunday's game.

Ill be back on the couch for that one, so I wouldnt worry

Really hope Leicester stay up.

Brilliant second-half and well done Jose for making the tactical change. This is where he has the edge over other managers.

Cech made a brilliant save in the first-half and it will be distressing to see him turn out for another club.

I still feel uncomfortable about it.

Drogba was awful then scored a vital goal, and Ramires was awful then scored a brilliant goal.

Fabregas was far better when he was pushed further forward and Matic has definitely rediscovered his mojo lately.

Willian our best player. Absolutely sensational tonight.

Tonight was all about Jose though. What a manager. What he's done since the summer is incredible. The way he's moulded the squad, the buying and selling, all at a profit, his boldness and bravery in the transfer market, his clarity and decisiveness, his game-management and his man-management.

50 games and 3 losses. Incredible.

Hardly any rotation. Incredible.

One day he might get the credit he's due.

You never know.

After watching Pearson try to talk down and insult the press I want nothing more than his team relegated.

An utter scumbag of a man

I saw his first interview on Sky where he stuck up for Chelsea and was praising us and I thought maybe I miss judged him and he isn't so bad after all.

Then I hear the interviews driving into work this morning where he goes off on one with a journalist and comes over as a complete crazy nutter of a bloke! He really does have issues.

No match of the day last night for a crucial midweek match...........if it was man u or the scousers playing :angry037:

They never have a midweek motd unless it's a full fixture list so no conspiracy there.

I really like him and hope he keeps them up. I've never seen a professional manager look like he enjoys the job as much as Pearson does. As for his interview last night, I reckon more managers should give the press stick, they're a bunch of effin idiots.

But there is a difference between giving the press a bit of stick back and coming across like a psychotic bully.

Can I just say - Big Pete, THAT save in the first half. ::clap2::

As much as it grieves me to be resigned to the fact that he will be going, he will forever be a true Blues legend, certainly up there with the Chelsea greats.

Guess you're on the other side of the pond fella, as you say not on the roster...

Watch "Only Fools and Horses" an old UK comedy. Roadsweeper guy in that who's intellectually challenged, keeps calling another chap Dave and it's not his name. When Azpi joined no one could remember or pronounce his name so Dave stuck!

Probably doesn't work if you're not from the UK though.

Trust this helps (assuming I'm right, although if not sure better people than me will correct)

What the f**k does Jamie Redknapp know about winning titles......

Nothing, but he will know about what its like to be a ball bagged faced twitchy c**t when hes older though.

Agreed, cannot stand him.

he's not just had a go at the press, even tells his own fans to fcuk off...complete thug, who is so thick that he doesn't realise his behaviour will put off other clubs from hiring him in the future...also if you go to war with the media, there is only one winner in that battle

And then there is when he took McCarthur by the throat earlier in the season.

He doesn't deserve to be in management, needs to sort out his anger issues and stop bullying people who are doing their jobs.

Prat of a guy.

What he said made no sense at all. I think he's gutted because they should have rolled over last night and saved their efforts for the weekend. Trying to give us a game was a tactical blunder, and could cost them PL survival

Can't stop laughing at this!!

Agreed, They shouldn't have risked the likes of Huth and that if they weren't a 100% either. Guess things like that are what separates the top managers from the average ones.

Our fans chanting: "Is there a fire drill?"  :laugh2:  Hadn't heard that one before.

Also, can someone key me in on what the end of this chant is: "Who's the w***ker with the....?"

They were singing 'where's the w**ker with the drum!?' hahaha.

So here I am in sunny Feurteventura thinking I'll log on and post my thoughts about the game, yet there was no need because DB already posted them for me!

The only thing I would change is the first part purely because of Pearson, I'd be happier if they stayed up and he got the boot though, but what a classless person he really is, consistently shows himself up to be an absolute twat.

The only thing I'd add and admittedly I'm probably being overly critical here but I thought there was enough time for Cech to come out for the first goal, and I couldn't help but feel Tibo would have, but again I'm probably being particularly harsh!
