Hmm I'm going down to the Sunderland game on the supporters' coach.  Am tempted to skip the journey back and stay on for the Monday, it's bank holiday after all so not even a day off work required.

Not going to the Sunderland game but will definitely be there for the parade as I haven't been to one yet. Any advice on when to arrive or the best bit of the route to head for from parade veterans?

Not 100% sure if I'll be heading up to this yet, not sure the Old Man will be up for it so don't really fancy attending as Billy No Mates.

There will be thousands of mates there.

IF we win........ but I won't edit the title.

FFS Gem, where do you find the strength not to unjinx this? I have been walking backwards and spitting upwards since I read this.

After the Arsenal game, the Independent blithely wrote something along the lines of "when Chelsea lift the tile next week".  AARRRGGHHHH!!!

Not only were they assuming we'd win it but casually assuming it would be next week!  WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??  Don't they know the law of assumption - not until it's mathematically certain.  (ok Bournemouth look pretty safe, I think I'd take not losing 19-0 as probably safe to assume is ok).

^^ My mother phoned me today: she had read Chelsea have won the league and she wanted to congratulate me. So sweet, but I had to explain the concept of jinxing :-)

Ok it's safe to talk about this properly now.  I am seriously thinking of gong - never been to a parade but as I'm down for the Sunderland game anyway it would be rude not to stay over and join in the parade.  Especially as it's bank holiday.

Who else is going? Where is the best place to be?  Do you actually see anything or just get drunk with loads of Chelsea fans?  Is there any way of making it a bit of a Shed End piss up as well?

Oh, DO stay over, BQ - you know you'll regret it if you don't!  It would be appalling bad manners not to, and you are such a classy lady, you wouldn't want to be seen to be lacking in "savoir faire."

I'll be going haven't been since 2010 great atmosphere at these things, any idea where the best part of the route will be didn't see too much last time!

I'll be there, three generations and about a dozen of us.  I think we'll head to Eel Brook Common and wait there for them.  Really looking forward to it already.

Where would everyone say the best place to be is? I should probably mention that I intend to go to Byron's afterwards.

In 2006 I was on the corner of Hortensia Road and the King's road and that was decent. Wherever you go you might want to get to early though.

I can't wait though. Whole family should be there. Should probably find somewhere to eat now and book it.

In 2005, 2006 and 2010 I stood at Elm Brook Common. Got a good view and the buses stop there for a while. As Blue Daze says, get there early.

Missed the parade in 2012 as was still travelling back from Munich.
